Just thought i would weigh in here... didn't realize you could do land only with signature!!! AUGH, that totally would have helped.

 

We,along with most of our guests are leaving the day after the wedding, it sucks, but we do get the whole day as our flight is really late. We booked our date before the packages were released, and had to have it on the saturday for some of our guests who could only come down for a long weekend. So we couldn't switch the date, and are just living with it. Most of our guests didn't complain a bit, i mean they can book separetely but it is prohibitively expensive, so no worth it for most people since we chose an already expensive resort....

 

So if your guests do have to leave the next day, just check the flight time! perhaps it is late anyways?

That sucks that your TA never told you about the land only? It seems weird that they didn't mention it.. but I guess they wanted to make more comission or something... So you will have to let me know how the leaving after your wedding day goes, cause I want to be able to tell my guests about it.. if it comes to that...

Well in regards to your comment about the late flight I was thinking that too... but you have never met my fiance's family before they are pretty intimidating to say the least.. so they try everything they can to get their way.. so just for kicks I have emailed Valeria and see if there is any spots on the 5th or 6th, 7 is our lucky number for many of the happenings in our relationship and this was the reason for selecting the date... it hurts to think I might have to give up my 7 date just to make people happy and spend an extra day with us at the resort... but I am less stressed now that I was earlier this morning! I think its because I told my sister who is one of my bridesmaids and she seemed ok with the price increase for the possible flights we found... so we'll see how it all goes down in the next few days!

Speaking of flight issues and stress I accidently booked our photog to fly to Mexico in the wrong month. That's right....I don't know what month I'm getting married. Accidently booked for Feb not March. That was a fun stressful day at work....

 

I only share this tot tell you that it will all work out, the stress will go away and, even if people are grumpy - that will fade too. : )

Hey Soon to be E... what are the dates you are at EDSS? I doubt we overlap, but it is so close!!! we almost should have arranged to share stuff for our wedding days!

 

I would have freaked if i booked someone for the wrong day/month! I hope it worked out!

 

Oh and Tracy, if you do have to switch the day, it will be your new lucky day, don't worry about it! Do whatever is best for you and your guests! The signature prices are so much less though, so consider that as you may get more people!

We are there March 14-29, I was hoping for an overlap...but too bad!

It worked out in the end, but it was a stressful day at work. We were already so far over budget that I was worried that I was going to have to spend another $600 for a flight. Luckily our photog is amazing (Thanks Jon!) and called the airline to organize flights for the right month. He was a total godsend and made the situation much less stressful....phew.....

Hoping that's the biggest mix up.....but sure something will go wrong in MX. Oh well....shiit happens...

Too bad! I get there April 5th!! So close, yet so far! You are going to have to let me know any urgent things as soon as you get back! this is crazy, it is so soon!

I am so excited ladies! Sounds like our TA is pulling through for us and found a ton of flights that we can choose from or I should say our guests can choose from... so looks like I won't be needing to change my date after all... SO thankful for her! I was seriously freaking out earlier... now my heart rate is back to normal.. and feel so much better cause things seem to be working out just like you ladies said!!! Thanks for calming my stressful day!!

 

I can't wait to see and hear all about your weddings!!! You must be freaking excited now!!! I love this forum.. it seriously has been a lifesaver!!! lol

I am sooo excited - we leave in a week tomorrow. I am starting to be all hyper about it. We're packing this weekend and getting everything finished. I just tried my dress on on Wednesday and I need to get it taken in again...boo.... I guess it's better than having to get it taken out!

 

Tracey - I'm so glad it all worked out - remember there is always a solution to every wedding related issue : ) Hope it all works out for the best.

 

I love this forum too. So many ideas and so much support. I feel so much better about the wedding and the location from hearing from all of you : ) It's just too bad that we don't have dates that overlap. Would be cool to meet each other.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners.
