Just wondering to all you brides with your weddings so close.. did you end up getting that promo its all about the bride?? If so how did they work it towards you getting money off your final bill or resort credit or whatever? If any of you have any information or got this promotion and can help me understand the concept of it a little better that would be great!!! Thanks ladies!

I didn't get the 'all about the bride' package because we had booked. Oh well....

That said - we did get 2 free stays (a $3200 credit) towards our trip because we booked so many people. We got $1580 for each 16th person we booked. We're not sure what we are going to do with this money - we are thinking about giving each person $50 back, but not sure yet.

We just submitted our civil wedding application and are putting finishing touches on the decorations. We're also trying to figure out if we're bringing a photographer from home instead of working with local Mexican photographers. Valeria confirmed that if the photographer stays for more than two nights that the $500 fee does not apply. Yeah! She also sent the outline of the civil ceremony if anyone is interested.

I can't believe we are 5 weeks and 6 days away from our big day. I can't wait to see Nicky's pictures!!!!!!!

Hey SoontobeE, that is an amazing deal! Ugh, i wish we had been able to arrange something free, we are getting nothing and having 45 people stay at the resort. I am sure it is too late to arrange something now, but there was no promos available when we booked... how did you arrange your deal?

I wish we had some sort of perk... now i feel bummed that we get something!

That sucks that you did not get any discount or perks for booking! Especially when you are booking more people than we are! We booked through Signature - I would go back and ask your travel agent. Any agent I spoke to about our trip offered that deal. SO maybe she (or he) is holding back. It doesn't hurt to ask!

Group bookings usually have some sort of perk. When did you book? DId you book with Signature? I want you to get that deal!!!

The details of our deal are as follows (from our travel agent) when we booked in July:
Signature is also offering a promotion that every 16th passenger travels free - excluding the taxes so as long as you have more than 15 people, you will receive this promotion.

Good luck!

Yeah we have booked with Flight Centre and we got that 16th person free deal... plus we were able to get the It's all about the Bride promo.. so once we have 5 or more rooms booked then we get resort credit or whatever else depending on how many rooms you get.. so yeah I would double check that... there should be something you should have got!!!

Yah, i guess we should have done this, but we let people book whichever way they wanted. Most are on Signatures Pacakges, including 18 on 1 flight out of Vancouver, but they all booked at diff. places. I think at the time I knew how long it would take people to book, so having a "16th" free wouldn't help us personally and so we didn't bother? Now that seems like a stupid reason, i mean i am sure someone could have used it!

You live, you learn right?!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
