Any Eldorado Seaside Brides??

Recommended Posts

OH YEAH!!

I wanned to mention on my DETAIL SHEET.. is says (under the wedding site location section)

"ADDITIONAL DÉCOR BROUGHT BY THE WEDDING PARTY TO BE PLACE AT LOCATIONS WILL HAVE CHARGE OF $5.USD PER PERSON."

So anyone planning on bringing bows or anything extra.. get it cleared that there will not be an extra charge...

I have to admit.. I am REALLY jealous about you guys all getting fans... my poor guests will just need to drink more.. haha

Has anyone asked how long the ceremony is?? hopefully it's over in 20mins... I'm hoping

OK.. my last day of work... two days till we leave.. 8 days till the wedding...

Life is good....

(p.s. my name is Nicky..)
Hey Nicky!

I actually asked the question as to how long the ceremony was going to be and including the sand ceremony Valeria told me it would be about 25-30 mins altogether! So they shouldn't have to suffer for long!!! SO EXCITING!!! I can't wait to hear all about the details and how it all comes together!! I know it will be amazing!!! I wish mine was so close!!! HAHA! When do you get back??

Somehow i keep missing this post, I can't wait to pick her brain about the whole thing! I am finally starting to get things in order, i have found a local place that i think i can get fans from so i think i will go that route. Our dilemma is still tent or no tent...

I emailed Carolina 2 days ago and haven't heard back yet, i may resend my email. I want a map of the resort outlining where our ceremony and reception will be... does anyone have any idea?

I think the ceremony site is up to you... there is the four pole chappah thing directly on the beach right beside the break or whatever it is... then there is the on pier gazebo thing too.. and then I think there is one other spot for your ceremony.. so I think its all in where you would like it to be...? I want mine to be right on the beach with the four poles and fabric beside the break.. but have seen some great wedding pics of it at the pier that appears to be now rebuilt! As for the reception, the only thing I know is it can be at the restaurant that is included or on the beach or I'm sure there are a couple other options as well...

Oh thats awesome! I was trying to picture where on the beach and the resort the portable gazebo would go! Yeah it looks like it will be in the busy area.. I wonder if they can move those beach beds at all to one side so you aren't having to walk through people laying on a beach bed to get to your groom!!! Do you know if Nicky was going with the portable gazebo?? I guess we can hit her up when she gets back with all the details of her day!!! lol

I'm wondering if anyone will be at the EDSS the week of March 14-21? We are thinking of bringing in a local photographer and want to see if we can share him with another bride. I know it soulds crazy, but I've heard of so many DW brides doing this to save money.

We just got our engagement photos done by a Toronto based photog and he was absolutely amazing! We really really want to bring him along ebcause he is so much better than comparably priced photogs in Mexico. AND we know how it feels to work with him.

You can check out some of the shots that he took during our engagement shoot at his Blog: Jon Rennie - GTA Wedding Photography

If anyone is interested please PM me. By splitting I think we can get him cheaper than the 3 hour packages, and then he'll be around to shoot your other events. Right now he is booked on the 19 the 17 and the morning of the 20 (TTD!). I can negotiate on those dates if anyone is really interested.

I can't wait to hear from Nicky and have the first official EDSS review... oh gosh i hope it goes well for her!

And Soon to be E, not sure that there is anyone here getting married that week... there are only a couple of us EDSS brides as yet on here... perhaps on the EDR post you can find someone?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
