About fans... get on it right away.. I left this part to the last minute.. can not find anything in here.. I figured Walmart might have something, or the Dollarstore or Michaels.. NOTHING! (maybe cause I am looking for fans in the dead of winter?? hmm maybe.. lol) I should have ordered them online... I wanted just a plain rafia fan and was gonna put a ribbon on the handle.. but nothing to be found!!

I am hoping to find something in Playa the days before, otherwise.. everyone will be dying in the heat...

3pm wedding... hmmm.. did everyone pick that time?? I actually tried to get earlier in the day.. and they told me 3pm was the only time... probably to allow THEM more time in the days... oh well.. no biggie..

Bridesmaids?? nope not having any.. we're just a small group his parent, my parents, his cousin (and wife), my cousin (and husband). Our parents are our wintesses..

two more days of work... smile29.gif and I am out of here... although I guess I am not working all that hard right now.. am I??

thats so funny... cause we are so slow in our office right now that I am basically planning my wedding all day!!! Maybe not a good thing to admit... ah well... non of my employers or co-workers are on here so how will they know??

About the fans I found 2 great websites actually that carry the exact same fans and such except one of the sites has free shipping over 100 which my order would be and cheaper fans.. but literally the same.. I have asked the other company if they can price quote and they have yet to get back to me. I have found some great Canadian websites for raffia fans.. cause originally thats what I wanted to go with... if you want them I will look them up and post them for youhuh.gif Let me know..

You know sometimes smaller is better... my wedding party.. wasn't really going to be a wedding party.. like non formal titles or anything... but turns out that they basically are.. so I'm happy with that too.. so exciting only 2 days of work left!!! YAY!! :)

Carolyn! Good to know names instead of screen names! So here are those 2 websites that I have found... the first one has a more unchangable amount of min orders and the second one is more flexible with how many you can order as mins... which is why I think I will go with the second company rather than the first... here they are:

Handmade Raffia Fans BULK [Raffia Wedding Fans Bulk Cheap] : Wholesale Wedding Supplies, Discount Wedding Favors, Party Favors, and Bulk Event Supplies

Hand Fans, Kimonos, Chinese & Japanese Wedding Favors

let me know if these help.. cause I have researched a lot of other sites too I can list off for various other things too!!

Hello ladies! I can't believe how soon everyone's weddings are!!! Carolyn, you must be so excited! I actually bought the fans from the first link. We ordered extra fans because some aren't perfect and we needed some extras so that we could pick the best looking fans. I bought ribbon from Fabricland and wrapped them around the bottom of the fan. I also designed custom tags using caricatures of us that I designed on Vistaprint. They are pretty fun!

I did have the fans shipped to a BM in the US, it was easy but obviously not for everyone!

Thanks for all of your notes on the planning, pier etc! We noticed that all the Karisma prices jumped in the last week so we would caution anyone getting married later to take screen shots of all the items on the Lomas site so that you can lock in the best prices! (Beach Weddings, Anniversaries and Honeymoons in the Riviera Maya) OUr bouquets just jumped in price (50 to 90) as well as our photographer (978 - 2200). It's crazy!

Also, negotiate with your photog before you contact Lomas. That way you will get a better rate and you are giving more money to the photog and less to Lomas....which is the way it should be!

Also, I'm a bit anal and like ot make a travel document for every resort I go to in order to give to all my guests so that they are prepaered. I'll upload that for you guys to check out!

Here is my nerdy list with all the major details you need to know about the resort. I sent this out to my guests, will leave a copy with our at home emergency contact and will also print it out so I have on hand at the resort.

It's always nice to know what time breakfast is over - or when lunch starts or exactly what is and isn't included! Hope this helps : )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
