OMG, i have totally missed these posts, i am supposed to get instant notifications...

Oops, i was planning on getting things started again on here, My wedding is coming up so fast!

So i just emailed the resort reservations to find out if it is possible for any guests who are coming just for a day or 2 to pay the resort to stay in one of the already booked rooms. For example we have a couple people who due to work reasons can only come for 2 nights... their spouses already have a shared room, but would they be allowed to just go in this room too and pay a set amount to the resort instead of booking a single room?

I have been figuring out centerpieces recently, and food, i need to clarify with Carolina if we can use the Royale set menu as you guys were told, as we will go for one of the mid-range ones if so...

We started compiling a music list for the ipod as well... tons of fun songs, i am excited!

Hey I haven't asked you guys this yet... you are having bridesmaids correct?? Are you paying for their bouquets or know what the resort charges for bridesmaid bouquets?? I was thinking about making my own for my bridesmaids... but wanted to know if it would be cheaper to just have the resort make them?? Anyone know costs or anything like this? Lomas's website doesn't say anything about bridesmaids bouquets.... help!

I just checked out trip advisor, and must be blind because i couldn't see this pic! Please post the link!

I am having Bridesmaids, but i am using fake calla's for everyone. The cost of bouquets there is atrocious so I am ordering Fleuramatique callas and putting them together myself. My sample should arrive any day, i have already seen some which are amazing! I think on the lomas site you can get smaller bouquets for like $50USD, so those are probably for BMs. I emailed about the cost of individual callas and was quoted $20USD/each! Crazy!!!

I also just emailed this guy on trip advisor who just got married there and asked him about wind and night time temperature and whether we should bother with a tent or not... also asked what was worth spending money on and what is not. I will let you know when i get a reply!

Crazy how time is flying!

Hi Ladies!

I got back about a week ago from honeymooning at EDSS. I got married at another resort in PDC, so I can't help much with wedding-related stuff, but if you have questions about anything with the resort, restaurants, beach, etc, please let me know. We have probably 50 or so photos of places around the resort that I have to sort through and then I will share them in an album if you're interested. We also took advantage of the honeymoon candlelight dinner on the beach, which was very nice but it was the windiest night we were in Mexico. We had an amazing time at EDSS...I would recommend the resort to anyone! Again, let me know if there's any questions I might be able to help with. Good luck with your continued planning.

wow you only got just over 2 months... it will go SOO fast.. trust me... No worried I will answer ever question you have!!!

Interesting note... the 'have everything paid and confirmed a month in advance'... yeah... just got the final email from Carolina today... and we will probably pay tomorrow... haha... so much for dealines...

I also asked if the off resort guests can pay for themselves on arrival.. no problem.. thankgoodness... didn't want to ask for the $$ after they forked out $1000's of dollars to be there...haha

just getting my insurances together and phone numbers in case of emergency... binder of wedding stuff... and I think I am good to go...

question for youhuh.gif what time is your guys weddings at? mine is at 3pm... hopefully not too hot... shitfan.gif but it was the only time available and the only day that would work for us....

You are right Prairiegirl, it is flying!!! I am relieved to hear about not having to pay so far in advance! That means more time for decision making and saving! I will be inundating you with questions upon your return, just you wait!

My wedding is at 3pm as well... other than the heat i am happy about it, lots of time to get ready, and enough time for people to keep to themselves between ceremony and reception. I plan to buy fans for the guests to fan themselves... i gotta get on it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
