Thanks!! I ordered the starfish online for about $1 each and the blue tulle as well ($40US for all of it, gazebo and chairs), had to bring it all down with me. However, they decorate the gazebo in all white tulle normally and it looks beautiful as is. I just wanted to incorporate my wedding colour into the decorations. :)

Hello jody,

I too want to thank you for such a wonderful review. my fiance' and I are getting married at secrets in May. It is wonderful to get the opinion of someone who has actually experienced it. After reading your review it has made me reconsider upgrading to the platinum package. We were just planning to do package # 2 (secrets of love). I am assuming from your review that you felt the extra $700 + was well worth it?! I was wanting to get some extra details if you dont mind smile03.gif First, did you pay $150 total for the ipod speaker system that was used during ceremony and dinner reception (or was that per hour). Second, I love the sand ceremony you did, was that provided by the resort or did you bring that? Third, the tulle idea is great, never would have thought of that. How much did you bring? Fourth, I also am wanting to make the reception tables nice and personal but want to keep my travelling baggage to a minimum. If you were to recommend one or two things to bring for the reception tables, what would they be?

Thank you so much for your time and efforts!

Thank you for so much detail. I was also going to have mine at dreams tulum when it was closed- i was early in planning/booking process so I changed to iberostar- We have 2 neices going and needed a resort with kids. However, I heard this resort is amazing and we were going to book for 5 nights for seperate honeymoon after spending wk with guests- and I would of paid for swim up room

did anyone ever post some good ideas for the reception tables? I have about 50 guests, so I assume 4-8 tables?

I also want something nice, but want to keep my travelling baggage to a minimum.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
