wow, at first I was very flattered that you copied exactly the same format as me, then as I was reading it I kept noticing you left several of my sentences in your review! So that was a bit weird to read since you took parts of my review as your own (especially that you left my paragraph in your conclusion in terms of how I felt on the wedding day, which was obviously a very personal thing).

 

Anyways, what is important is that you wrote an awesome and super detailed review which will be very helpful for future brides. I know how much work is involved in writing such a long review, so good for you for taking the time to do it to help out the other brides!

Sunbride, yes I absolutely used your format and several of your comments because they honestly described exactly how I felt about my own wedding as well and because we both selected the same area for such a special day some of it was applicable (mainly for why I chose the Mayan Riviera and the type of resort as well since we both chose Dreams at first and then my choice of Secrets for many of the same reasons also).

Of course, that is why I said in the review that I used yours to work of off. You were my inspiration on many things for my actual wedding (as many of the inspiration photos I used were yours of the gazebo, I had the same teal blue as you, and borrowed your starfish idea) and because of all this I truly believe you and I happen to think very much alike! Also, because your review was so helpful, I included as much of your detail (but switched it to mine for Secrets when applicable) to help out any future Secrets brides and many of those ladies wouldn't have had the chance to read through your description of the area and why you chose that particular resort.

It took me quite a while to type out such a long detailed review and I know since you started from scratch it took you even longer and I know everyone is appreciative to both of us for it. If I helped out even one person in their wedding planning or in possibly choosing Secrets as their place to be married, I am happy! We know you helped out more fingers and toes worth of ladies with your wonderful review of Dreams Tulum and hopefully in the future I will as well.

I have to say, I was trying to decide between a few adult-only resort on Riviera Maya, but when I read your review, I decided to go with Secrets Maroma Beach! It was in my top 3 to start off with, but still very comforting to read that everything went so well :-)

That is excellent news, I am certain you will be happy with Secrets Maroma! It was truly beautiful and better than I expected... as well, since the staff is just getting new to the resort and the workings of everything, it can only get better! The trees will fill in over the years and the staff will become comfortable... my hubby and I are going back for our one year anniversary in November '09!!

P.S. - I had a package delivered yesterday while I wasn't home and I am calling to arrange for pick-up, MY PHOTOS HAVE FINALLY ARRIVED!!! COMING SOON...
