My tip on assembling your Boarding Pass invites or STDs

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

So my boarding pass invites were essentially plagiarized right off this site so i am not posting those, however, i did one thing to make mine a bit different that I thought others may like!

I was stuck on how to put them together, and while at the fabric store saw some hot pink gromets, and decided that i would use those to attach them. (There were other colours too)

All you need is a 1 hole punch, the grommets, and the little tool to put them together. I got 35 grommets for $0.25 cents, and the tool cost $1.25. Each one took a few seconds, honestly! I was then able to cut the corners off the passes very easy after the grommet was in, since they couldn't shift!

So here is what it looked like in the end, but it was a great alternative to stapling, and people love the fact that they can't lose any of the pieces. The pic isn't terrific, but hopefully it works!

Anyways, i thought i would share! Hope it helps someone else out!

which fabric store?
I got them at a general fabric-store here in Vancouver called Dressew... but i am sure any fabric store would have them. I have seen them at paper stores too, but for like $7.00!!! For the exact same thing...

I didn't need a rubber hammer, just the teeny tiny little metal tool... i actually tapped the back of some of them with a hammer to make them super tight, so i guess a rubber hammer could help... but you really don't need one!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
