ROR Wedding Vows script from Chandlyn, got it today

Thanks for the heads-up...The length of the ceremony is a concern for me, it seems strange to spend all this time and money for four or five minutes! I don't think our ceremony will be very long though...Just our vows and a short "reading" we have chosen. I'm thinking of adding a second reading just to make it a bit longer!!

From what I understand, the judge/minister says a couple of words (probably just about marriage in general?) and then it is vows, signing, done.

Because the officiant won't know us personally, we have decided to ask him to make his opening "speech" Union by Robert Fulgham (you can read it here My Twin Cities Wedding: Reading: Union by Robert Fulghum if you are interested), followed by a reading by a friend and vows we are preparing ourselves, and I guess the signing/witnesses part if that is part of the ceremony. At least if we control the content of the ceremony we know what to expect in terms of length.

Maybe a past ROR bride will answer these questions in more detail for you.

I may not have enough points. Also does anyone have the RIU price list for upgrades? We may be going with the Free wedding package with the option to upgrade the other items we may want

Yah, you probably don't have enough points, I think it is 50 to open an attachment. I just copied them and sent them to you in a PM.

I know this is an old thread but it's very helpful! I was told that I should add things to the ceremony and write our own vows but I had no idea where to start. Thanks for the help!

I missed this the first time around... 4 minutes? That's a bit short, no? Guess Ill have to find other "filler" for the ceremony even though FI thinks a 4 minute ceremony is awesome. Haha.

Ours was about half an hour from start to finish. He does do a small prayer if you have the civil ceremony. We had our own vows in which we said as well as what he had but that was all we added to the ceremony.
