Thanks!
We had three different rates - right when we got rates, if you booked that week it was $1100 plus $177.25 taxes so $1277.25. If you booked after the first beek but within that month, it was $1327.25. At the end of the month taxes went up by $100 to $277.25 so anyone that booked after that first month paid $1427.25. I think 90% of our guests booked that first week though so almost everyone paid $1277.25.

I don't know if you still check this thread, but i wanted to say great review! We're flying Air Canada so it'll be interesting to see what they're like. I was floored - not even pretzels? Come on!

I was wondering, how long was your reception for? You had an awesome price for 30 people. Did you use the resort d.j.? If so, did you like him and what was his name?

We're doing the same thing with photogs actually. We have booked Sol for our TTD, so it's muy exciting!

Congrats!

Great review! Thanks for all the insights about the resort and planning! I am looking at getting married at the Bahia Principe Coba Feb 2011. Did you just book Sol for the TTD session? How is this carried out? I really want to do a TTD session and am not very impressed that the resort will no longer allow outside photographers in....from what I have seen from the resort photographers- I'm not overly impressed. What are the rates for a TTD session with sol anyways?....hrrm something to think about! Thanks :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
