"bridesmaids being picky"

Recommended Posts

When they are being difficult - I think it's worked out great for many gals to just pick a color and let them pick their own dress. David's has a large selection of styles if you want EXACTLY the same color ... or you can let them pick their own and have different shades of the same color -which looks great too!

My BM's were all different sizes, (from a size 0 to plus sized) and they all loved the dress we chose. Bari Jay #253 for the BM's and #249 for the MOH. They have your color too!

This is the one we went with. They are both quite happy with it. One BM is very small and petite, the other one struggles with her weight and really is worried about things that cling to her tummy. Both are fairly large-chested.

It's Mori Lee Affairs and we chose a beautiful raspberry colour, similar to what you've posted above. The sash is the same colour as the dress.

Here's the picture (of another BDW girl's wedding) of the same dress that made me suggest it to my BMs

When I was going with DB dresses I had chosen all of those that you originally posted! I love every one of them!!!

I ended up saying the same as many others here. I told them the color and they picked which dress they wanted.

One thing that a salesperson told me was that to make sure that all the dresses are exactly the same color you need to order them all at the same time from the same store. Otherwise, even though you order them in the same color, they may come out slightly different shades.

I can completely understand the dilemma of bridesmaids being completely different sizes. I was hoping to get their dresses at the same location I found my dress because then they'd get 15% off. However, because of the sizes of two of my girls, particularly the one (a 24 and a 16), it was basically impossible for them to try anything on. In turn, we went to David's Bridal and I let them pick out what they liked on them all in the same color. Here's what we went with and they look great together and better yet all three look great in their own dress!

Best Friend's Dress (the 24, a busty girl, very flattering on her to give you an idea):

Sister's Dress (the 16; the flowing material of the dress hides the curves she's uncomfortable with):

Close Friend's Dress (She's a size 4 and the dress looks great on her petite frame):

I've heard that it works well for different figures, so here's hoping they love it!
I was so relieved when both of my sisters (BMs) loved it! At that point I didn't care if they even liked it :)
I got raspberry, I think. It's essentially fuschia. It's more fuschia than I thought it would be, but it's very nice!

In the store they were asking $190 CDN. I ordered it online through magicmomentscollections and they were fabulous getting back to me. They're in the States and ship from the warehouse. Their online price was $116 US.

It's Mori Lee Affairs 735.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
