Ok ladies I need some help. Ive been in contact with Cecilia since we got engaged ( June 11 yay!!) after many emails about dates. She seems to only have available at 11am. We were looking to getting married in April or May 2012 because that's about when low season starts. Has anyone got married at 11am? I guess I was just hoping for an afternoon wedding. Also she does have a friday available for any time, but again I was hoping for a Saturday (mostly because of our guests). Has anyone got married on a Friday? Sorry for so many questions. I'm just ready to set a date! Thanks

From what I have been told by the WC, it is $100 per person for vendors.  Which is also the same as the $100 day pass fee, so you will end up paying regardless.

Do you guys know what the fee is to bring an outside photographer? Is the resort really picky about that? My TA said that at some places you can just get them a "day pass" but not tell the resort that they're your photographer? That sounds a little iffy to me just because I'll have a "guest" who'll be photographing me. Does that make sense? If you guys experienced this please let me know! Thank you!

We did the same thing as you....the times we wanted on Saturday were already booked, so we changed to Sunday.  I think it's better to have the time you want, because that sets the tone for the wedding events for the day!  When you're on vacation it doesn't matter what "day of the week" it is msnparty.gif

For those of you who have gotten married at SMB, what area would you say is the prime location for the dinner reception?  The map below is what the WC sent me for their options.  I was considering the Pool Terrace, but I wanted to see what you all thought first!  Thanks!

Did it take a while for Cecilia to respond to any of you after you sent her the QA wedding form? She said she was holding my date for a week, I sent in the form way before the week was up and she hasn't responded back (the week is up now). I'm getting scared that she gave my date away      worried2.gif

Hello Ladies

I am an English lady who has just booked my wedding and honeymoon at SMB. I have loved reading all the posts about SMB and know I have made the right choice.

However I cant help but notice that Valeria the WC has not got a great reputation compared to Cecilia.

I have been allocated Valeria as mine and was hoping there is someone out there to put my mind at rest that she will do a good job!

My wedding is not until August 2012 so got plenty of time for planning.

Thanks for the advicesmile123.gif

Hi, hopefully you've heard from Cecilia by now. If not, don't get frustrated, it usually takes 24-48 hours for a response but if they are extremely busy it may take longer. If you haven't heard back just send her a "gentle reminder" email to see if she received your previous email. For the most part, she is responsive.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
