That wedding on the weekend was us!! Gabi thank you so much, I loved our rose pomanders!! Ladies that picture from Gabi's profile, right next to Planner1Event picture is our wedding gazeebo set up! We ended up having 4 photo shoots!! ha ha, so crazy. Wedding day with Elizabeth Medina, 2 TTD with Sol from DelSol and 1 with the resort photog in the ocean in our regular clothes, that is the only pics I have. I have those on a CD but as soon as I get a link to our site I will post it here. Elizabeth's and Sol's pictures are not done yet, but both ladies and their amazing 2nd photogs worked so hard that I am sure they will be stunning! All the more difficult to wait, ha ha! Anyhow we just got back Saturday night. I LOVED the beach! Let me know if you specific questions, and I will try to do a review once the pictures are in.

hi everyone,

been reading through this thread for a while and thought its about time i joined you!  i am soooooo over the moon to be a secrets maroma bride.

it will just be myself and h2b..  so hopefully easy to organise as just starting out now and my date is 19 May 2011!

i have my dress (main thing lol - only joking!)

think im going to have the ceremony on the beach and considering getting the floral arch.  just need some music - do you think an ipod dock will be enough.. as it will just the 2 of us does not need to be really loud and 150 seems a lot to rent the speakers... i think the floral arch will be really nice though. looking at photographers and my top 2 are moments that matter and blue caribe.  plan to have a private beach dinner to celebrate.  We will be staying for 12 nights in total!  Cant wait!

Any tips /advise appreciated!  My only real concern is music to walk down the ailse.  Have some songs would really like to play!

Thanks girls and look forward to hear from you!

The walk to the hacienda takes all of 5 min. There are two interesting abondoned boats on the way as well and a neat wooden structure. Our wedding day and TTD pics are just filtering in... will post eventually but it will take time. If you are standing at the beach facing the ocean walk right to get to the hacienda. Its beautiful!! Yes it is a big dirty, but we did go barefoot and sat and lay on the ground for a couple of the shots, it provides a stunning back ground. Have fun!

Wow,

tough choice.........

When I had talked to Valeria (Cecilia assistant) on the telephone my options were 11am or 3pm or 630pm........When I spoke with her on the phone she told me that 3pm was better because 11am is tooo hot......and by 630 its starting to get dark.

So I dont know why she would offer 7pm??

And really, how many weddings a day are there??

I was told 3 and I think that is a lot of weddings, I would think that is all you would see if weddings all day long every day you are there??

Anywayz, i think 7pm will be almost dark.  So 11am would be better and then do an awesome lunch....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
