Okay...a second try with the pics from Cecilia:

Beach Cocktail Hour setup (I dont believe the tiki torches are included in any packages):

Beach Ceremony Canopy Setup:

Gazebo Ceremony setup:

Reception Table setup:

This is apparently the basic setup for each of these. No extras were added. The ceremony chairs do come with white covers, but no chair bows. You'd have to bring your own. And from what Simistar says, sounds like two sets of chair bows would be needed, cause they apparently won't move them.

Thanks simistar. I haven't tried the photobucket.com solution. I'll give that a try..I just went to the Advanced reply page and tried to use the paperclip attachment function' date=' which obviuosly didn't work for me at all.

Unforunately, the ONLY way to post pics is to use a site like photobucket...

Here's a link to a thread explaining how to post pics on the forum:-)

(it's really not as complicated as it sounds!:-))

Aaaaah!! Looks like you figured out at the same time I was posting, lol:-)

Re: the tiki torches, no those aren't included...

We did actually pay to have some of those, I forgot to mention that...

However, I had to keep on Cecilia throughout the night to 1. have them moved from the ceremony location to the reception location and 2. keep them lit! Obviously they may blow out, so I kept having to ask Cecilia to have someone re-light them...Just something to keep in mind when requesting things for Cecilia to do/keep an eye on:-)

Also, yes, unless it's changed, you'll need enough chair bows for BOTH the ceremony AND the reception...they say there's not time to move them....

I of course didn't know this until the night of -- so bring lots so you don't have to worry about it!:-)

They didn't actually do tie-downs for ours... but it's a great idea...
Maybe double check that Cecilia will have this done for you...sounds like one of thoe "small" details she may forget:-)

After finally deciding on Secrets Maroma as the venue for my destination wedding, Cecilia just told me only 1:00 time slots are open on the dates I want. I just emailed about the day before and after my two desired dates and don't know yet. Should I take what I can get time-wise or check with other resorts? I was really hoping for a later time slot (before sunset) and wanted a night-time reception. I appreciate any feedback.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
