Did anyone buy wedding insurance?  We put down the deposit today so I am breathing a sigh of relief & getting even more excited (if that is possible and we still have a year to go!!!) YaY!!!

I would love to hear your summary of a Dec wedding after you get back Jen Eeson!!!  Congratulations!!!  I'm sure everything will go fabulously!!!

ConnieMac the Lanterns are as follows.

30 round white lamps $550 +11% tax

20 round white lamps $450 + 11% tax

10 round white lamps $350 +11% tax

I think we are going to go with the lamps, when I asked Cecilia about 20 vs 30 she said that people typically go with 30 and she didn't have a picture of 20 lamps.  Not sure if that is a trying to get us to spend more, but I figured I would wait until I get a bit further in the process (and see how much I have to spend) to then make that decision.

Hey Jen, you recently asked about back up in case of bad weather. I have some advice to offer. I would find out which restaurant will be closed. For my wedding (it poured like crazy that day) they were going to put us in the Japanese restaurant. I was devastated bc it's incredibly dark and wasn't what I was wanting for my wedding at all. It was the only option bc another wedding had taken the other back up. Luckily it cleared up by the time wedding started and I pushed to set up outside even though they were pushing for the Japanese restaurant.

So, basically, upstairs on the balcony all the way to the end (outside of the lobby bar area) on the opposite side from the restaurant (italian and french) there was a wedding reception going on actually on the balcony in the rain. That side is a covered balcony and it's far enough away from the lobby bar to have privacy. It looked great, they had music set up and were still able to be outside.

Just wanted to bring that up to you to check out in case... '

Best wishes to you! It's a beautiful resort and lots of fun!!

Jen, heels on the beach sounds dangerous! Even with the isle.....I personally would not want to risk it.....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
