From what I understood from the email from Gabi @ planner 1 . .  the $200 is for the curtain and hanging of just the back portion of the chuppah!  :)

Does anyone know the size of the round tables used for the reception? I am bringing my own table cloths and overlays (much less expensive and I am a bit picky, lol) . . but need to know the size to bring.   Cecillia told me the tables seat 8-10 people, but did not tell me the size. Can anyone PLEASE HELP me so I can get them ordered?

By the way, weddinglinensdirect.com has chair sashes super cheap. I ordered samples of 8 different ones (my color is quite unique), and they were delivered in less than a week, and several matched my colors exactly. Right now they are on sale too (mine come out to .56 cents each, in packages of 10).  Cant beat the price, and they have more colors than any other site I have seen!

Thanks ladies!

Hi Lola, I don't know exactly what the size of the tables are because I didn't ask or measure but all size charts I found when I was doing my research for our wedding showed that 8-10person tables are 74in in diameter. After being at the resort, I am positive the tables are not smaller than that. We had 8 at each table and could have placed 10 comfortably.

My reception table was for 10 people and it was confortable for all of us.

I haven't mesure it but I can give you some standard information:

- round table for 10 guests = 180 cm diameter

- round table for 8 guests = 160 cm diameter

The standard space for each people is from 55 cm  to 60 cm then:

55*10 guests= 550 cm / pi grego= 175 cm diameter

I think you can consider 180 cm for table of 10, if the table is a little bit less it will not a problem for the overlays.

Thanks ladies!

I have bought organza sashes for my chairs to put over the white chairs covers.

When I have tried it over a white a fabric, I have seen that the organza is very transparent and the color didn't result well. I have decided to buy 2 organza sashes for each chairs, one fuxia and one pink and I have overlyed them. The result was much more better and the 2 colors mixed have given a very nice reflection.

Ohhhh. . . thank you for the suggestion!! I am going to make some mock chairs up and see with my samples!! At that price, I can easily do two sashes together :)!  Thank you! I dont plan to use the chair covers though . . wonder if that makes a difference on how it will look?

ALSO, does anyone know what the standard (free, included) table cloths the resort uses look like? I guess Im really asking what type of fabric and color (white, ivory, etc) is it? Was it satin, polyster??

Thanks!

Thanks for the tip on the chair sashes!  I was thinking of ditching the chair covers too.  I like it better without for some reason.

I don't know what color have you choosen for your wedding but just to see the differences, I send you some example.

As you can see in the 2 following pictures, the simple organza is very transparent (both over the white fabric or without it)

In the next pictures you can see the effect of 2 layers without white fabric:

And a detail with 2 layers with white fabric for my wedding:

Hope it can help you :-)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
