Ok I leave in 2 days, and now i'm going back in forth between having a dance floor or just using the gazebo.  We are having our ceremony on the beach, and reception at the gazebo, I was just going to use the gazebo as the dance floor, however the pictures kinda make it seem dark.  We are also paying for the cold fireworks for the first dance.   I'm having a hard time imagining the cold fireworks around the gazebo looking good.  I see pictures of the lighted dance floor, and it looks so good to me, what are y'alls thoughts on this? I'm not sure why i'm second guessing things, two days before we leave, I'm still trying to do programs on the fans, and Menu's, on top of packing, and all the other last minute stuff that goes along with going out of town.

If a dance floor was in my budget I would probably do it as long as I had 20ish guests or more. I really don't think it's completely necessary though. I think it will be amazing either way.

I hope to see you! I have no idea who to look for but it will just be my fiance and myself on the first day we arrive (23rd). We will probably be relaxing on the beach and then hanging out in the lobby bar that evening. Please say hi if you see me!! My name is Chasity and my FI is hispanic and about the same height as me!!

Congrats on your wedding!! I am excited for you!!

Hi ladies!

I'm new to the forum and have been frantically reading through all of your posts for the last few weeks!  Thank you all for so much fabulous information.  My wedding is December 6th 2012 so still a few months to go.  Beach wedding and gazebo reception, around 40 guests.

I am so grateful that I found this forum, and I hope to be more helpful over the coming months as the planning ramps up!  If I am half as organized as the rest of you I'll be happy:)

Cassie, Cri Cri and Beachbride...best of luck with your weddings and I can't wait to read your reviews!

Cassie, it's probably too late to be helpful, but just incase you see this I think it's human nature tO second guess right before the unknown becomes known. Once you view the locations it will all be clear. Your planner will take care of any changes. In my opinion you don't need an additional fan e floor if you have the gazebo. I WISH I could have my reception at the gazebo but there was a missundersanding and now I can't. It will be gorgeous there. Good luck and have fun

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
