Check apple vacations. I just did and there were rooms available on those dates.

Nicc80:  Unfortunately, she had her sister with her too and it would just be too crowded for anyone else to bunk with them.

Hi all,

Has anyone had any trouble contacting Cecilia in the last week or two? I have sent her a couple of e-mails but she hasn't got back to me. I'm getting a bit worried as my wedding is in 4 weeks so want to get the final details sorted out!

Thanks in advance!

I sent her 2 emails yesterday and she responded to them both within a few hours.

Hey beachbride!  Thanks for looking for me.  I just checked there and they do have rooms but the only ones available there are the Honeymoon suites too.  It is too expensive for her and her sister to stay in a honeymoon suite.  And I am pretty sure none of our other guests will want to stay in one either :(  It really changes the whole trip for us because now instead of having all of our family and friends at the same resort where we can hang out and eat together, everyone will have to pay money anytime they want to come to the resort.   I guess we will just have to make sure everyone goes on the excursions with us so we can see them on other days besides the wedding.  But, it also looked like they had regular rooms available again on Sunday the 22nd so maybe some of the other guests can switch to Secrets after the wedding and near the end of their trip. LOL, it sounds like a hassle but it is better than nothing I guess!  And I had asked Cecilia about people staying at other Secrets and if they had to pay the the day pass too and she told me the same thing. But,  I thought maybe she meant to attend the wedding and I wanted to know if they could just come and eat and stuff for the day if  they wanted too.  I emailed the information email at both Secrets Maroma and Secrets Capri and no one had gotten back to me about it.  The only reason I asked was because when I was first researching the resort I had saw on their website where it said you could go to any Secrets and dine if you booked at a Secrets resort.  Also, a man I work with actually went to Secrets Maroma  last year and he told me that his wife and him did it.  But, I guess it could have been just a promotion because now I don't see it anywhere on their website.

Chelle86:  I have noticed it is taking her a little bit longer to respond to my emails in the past week or so too, but it is usually just 1 or 2 days.  Maybe she has a lot of weddings there right now.

@chelle86: Our wedding is 4 weeks away as well!  May 12 @ 5:30pm.  When is yours?   Cecilia has been great and only just this week when we emailed her did she tell us to give her a day to get back to us.  And she did get back to us a day later.  I think she priorities based on when your wedding date is.  We try and batch our questions to her so she doesn't have to reply to many emails at a time.   @KCDawn/@kristinalilly: We are also thinking of using a portable speaker.  We will use it for our Welcome Bonfire.  Are you guys using it for your Ceremony?  I wasn't sure if it will be loud enough for the Ceremony.   Here is the portable speaker we've been looking at: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-S715i-Rechargeable-Speaker-iPhone/dp/B003VANOI6/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1334173199&sr=1-1   Have you guys considered this one?  I'm mainly considering this one because it is much lighter.

We are planning on using the portable speaker for everything except for the cocktail hour when we'll have the Mexican Trio.  We're having our ceremony at the Gazebo so I don't think we'll have to compete with the sound of the ocean as much.  It's also at 4:00 so I'm hoping the pool area won't be overly crowded.  We're leaning towards the portable Bose.  It's expensive (about $400) but we're cashing in rewards points on credit and bank cards for gift cards to defray make it more affordable.  There's a Bose outlet about 40 minutes from our house so we were going to check there too.  We went to Best Buy and talked to someone there to see if we could find something else, but there really wasn't anything there that was comparable.  The Logitech looks good, but it's hard to tell how loud it will be until you test it.  It's getting close to your wedding but you should still have time to get it, test it outside and send it back if it's not loud enough.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
