It's my understanding the resort provides transportation to and from the airport. We booked our trip and our guests land packages through a travel agent (our guests booked air travel on their own). The travel agent told us there was no extra cost for airport transfers unless you want a private transfer. However, you may want to keep in mind and tell your guests too that on departure the transfer is probably going to be 3 - 4 hours before your flight. So if you have a 10 am flight departing from Cancun, be prepared to catch the shuttle anytime between 5 am - 7 am from the hotel. Again this information is coming from our travel agent.

If you're not using a travel agent you may want to get your guests itinerary's for when they're arriving and departing from the airport and send it to Cecelia and see if she can arrange the transfers. We're just sending all flight info to our travel agent and she is coordinating that info with SMB.

Hope that helps!

We provided transportation for our guests who flew with us. We used Cancun Transfers. We had a private van for seven of us. It was only $105 round trip for everyone. From what I believe the transportation that is included is not private, which means you could possibly stop at many resorts on your way to SMB. This can add significant time to your drive. The cost of private transportation is worth it to us. We have always arranged private transportation for each of our trips to Mexico.

Hey everyone, novice to here!! Is a welcome dinner different then a rehearsal dinner?  I do want my guests to have a chance to get to know each other before ceremony day.  Also, how many days are you spending with your guests before the ceremony day?  Our guests are traveling appx. Saturday to Saturday and we mary on Wednesday then we are thinking of leaving secrets on Friday.  so 4 days before ceremony and 1 full day after.

Please share your thoughts

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
