Hi Nemmerz - I know from experience its easier said than done, but you have plenty of time to prepare. Cecilia was out sick on Wednesday. I suggest emailing Cecilia and make your subject line "request for wedding contract". This will help her prioritize emails. Once this is done, you wont talk to her again until 60 days out. If you are doing a symbolic ceremony, they can prepare your wedding in three days. They have one or two weddings everyday - one on the beach, one at the wedding gazebo.

Time of day is a question better answered closer to your wedding day. Cecilia can tell you where the sun will be.

You will love this resort! And the staff will bend over backwards to make your day special :)

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Cheerleader your wedding pics are stunning!  We're also from NC and are getting married at Secrets Maroma November of next year. Would you mind sharing information on how you thought the cost of flying your own photographer there was compared to hiring a local?  Was this purely an budgetary decision or did you just love this particular photog?  We're trying to pick our photographer by the end of the year and would love any information you could share that may be helpful. Thanks!

If we go ahead with the DW, it will either be just the two of us eloping or just us plus my FI's mom, dad and brother so I'm in the same boat!!

GABI,

You are fantastic........!!

You are meeting with Cecilia?

Ive called a few times and gotten Valeria on the phone, she can answer basic questions but unable to nail down any details.....she is super kind though.

I booked the Preferred Club Suite in order to get the Paradise Wedding package for free......do you know if I now book more than 5 rooms do I get any additional perks?  I know it says if you also book 5 rooms you get package for free......what if you do both??

Do you know if Cecilia lets you bring ribbons for the chairs if you want to?

GABI thanks for your time..............what is your occupation?  Im sorry not sure if you are a bride or a planner?? My apologies.

knitgirl,

Well shoot, actually my list is growing, I never anticipated more people coming.........

I hope no more than 15 or else I will be paying extra for a private reception, which is completely unneccessary....

You  may be surprised by how many people are interested in going if you ask them to go......I am SHOCKED!!

I was hoping for Music at mine, but $180.00 for a stereo system is silly for 20 minutes....

Gabi,

I am looking for a photographer to only do a Trash the Dress session.

We only want a few pics after wedding and then do Trash the Dress........i dont need getting dressed or guests.......we just want a few pics of US and thats it.....

I only need about 1 hour to 1.5 hours of someones time.........

I contacted AkiDemi and he is priced very reasonably.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
