Hi ladies!

I can't believe we're leaving for SMB in 9 days! Time has seriously flown by!!!

Question for those already married - the grooms room the night before that is included in the package.....Cecila told me this weekend she can't confirm it yet since it is based on availability - did anyone have any issues with this?

Oh, yeah - I think almost everybody's who's tried this has had issues!

We asked Cecilia about five times and she never followed up or came through.

I think Kits55 tried too, to no avail.

I think one or two of the brides on here did succeeed, but they had to REALLY keep on Cecilia about it!

So, if you REALLY want it, I'd start nagging her the second you arrive:-)

I'm actually not even sure why they offer it since it's such a hassle to actually get them to honor it...

That said, Cecilia has been known to do it for some brides...but like I said, my understanding is, they had to really harp about it:-)

On another note -- wow -- so close!

Good luck -- hope the weather's nice! And congrats!!

Hope you have anamazing trip:-)

We originally asked for a room for groom to get ready, but since his brother was staying in a room all by himself, my hubby ended up getting ready there.  Cecilia did say she needs to check the availability and she couldn't confirm this during our final meeting.  If hotel isn't full capacity and it isn't usually around this time of the year, they should give you a room no problem.  But I felt like there is a disconnect between reservation group, restaurant managers, and the wedding team.  Whenever Cecilia has to get other group to get involved for the wedding, it's more hassle and she needs to get approval from them and she doesn't have authority to just do it. This is something they can improve on.

9 Days?!  I know how you feel!! Good luck, everything will go just fine!!

If your travel agent doesn't mind, then I say why not?;-)

There's no harm in I don't think AND it could get the ball rolling BEFORE you arrive...

That said, even if your TA does contact Cecilia about it prior, STILL nag Cecilia!:-)

I think jeans are fine as long as they're not ripped and "old" looking...

Nice jeans shouldn't be a problem... And I think if guys wear jeans with a nice shirt, not a t-shirt, then it's fine...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
