I will def keep you posted on all of the info i get from Cecilia. When my mom and I were there in March, we heard the harpist play on the lobby around dinner time and he was really good - we are thinking of maybe using him for the ceremony - but we'll see.

For the welcome bags, we are doing canvas totes with a itinerary of events, sunscreen and lip balm, magazines, travel size meds (tylenol, immodium, alka selzer) and maybe a package of candy.

Table decor I am going to work out with Cecilia - I really don't want to have to worry about table set ups or any of that. The only things I am planning on shipping ahead of time are the welcome bags, a frame for our kettubah, placecards and menu cards.

I really don't want to bring more than my luggage or my dress with me on the plane.

What are you thinking for the table decor? Are you going to do anything special to the gazebo? I am going to ask if she can wrap lights around it and line the aisle with tea lights in paper.

Hey everyone... just thought I'd let you know that I switched my whole plan... we're getting married Dec. 7 of this year and it's only going to be me and my fiance!!! The planning started getting too crazy with our families giving us so much BS so we decided that we'll go to Secrets ourselves and say our vows on the beach with just the two of us and a photographer, and have an AHR with our families when we get back!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
