Need a Wedding Planner in Manuel Antonio

We are planning on getting married next month in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica. We are staying at the hotel "Si Como No". Unfortunately, because the date we want to get married falls under what they consider (season or peak) time we can't have the wedding at the hotel.

I need to hire a wedding planner to find us a location near the hotel, and arrange for all the plans. My tour company recommended we use "Tropical Occasions" as our wedding planner. Has anyone heard of them or used them? Someone else recommended "Oasis Weddings".smile35.gif

Any help will be appreciated.

I have a bride who is getting married in Manuel Antonio and she is using Tropical Occasions and works directly with Karen Ogden. Karen and I have emailed back and forth several times and she is very knowledgeable and helpful to me so I am sure with my bride she is just amazing.

Good luck and hope that helps!

I don't have advice on wedding planner - but I am excited for you getting married in Manuel Antonio - it is sooo beautiful there. We had wanted to get married there, but decided it would be too difficult for our grandparents to handle traveling in CR.

Good luck with your wedding plans!

The villa we are staying at recommended Tropical Occasions. We are not using them because we decided to plan the entire wedding ourselves.

chwevers — I can help you with a few of the vendors. We are having our cake made by Mariposa Pastry, she has been great to deal with. Here is a link to her Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Mariposa-Pastry/130279440355534 and here is her e-mail [email protected].

For a photographer, we are using lifetime digital imaging, here is a link to the website, http://www.weddings.co.cr

And for rentals and flowers we are using Eventos Boadicea, here is a link to their Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/pages/Eventos-Boadicea/128504043112. They have some amazing stuff ... we are going with the benches for the ceremony, absolutely love them. Here is a link to their website as well (in Spanish) http://www.eventosboadicea.com

Good luck and happy planning!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
