i dont know about the specifics of this resort but most resorts have wedding packages that you can select and the include pretty much everything for the wedding and reception and you sit down with the wedding coordinator when you get to the resort and they figure out the final details....not as hard as traditional wedding at all lol

I assume that Riu Negril is pretty much the same as the other Riu's in Jamaica so yeah the first thing to do is to decide on a wedding package. As far as I can tell from the threads on here, probalby the best route is to go with the free package and then pay for the extras that you really want. If you contact your WC she'll be able to send you a price list for all that as well as book your reception location and time. I'm sure if you do a search for Riu Negril that you'll find more info. I found most of the price lists under Riu Montego Bay and some under Riu Ocho Rios but in the end they were all the same. Keep searching...it'll all come together!

Here's what I learned that is necessary - if you don't want to go with the bouquets in the package you should contact the florist (ask WC)

- find out who the resort photographer is and contact him/her to confirm a booking.

- reserve your reception location and time early so that you don't have to settle for something that's not already booked by another bride!

Like I said...keep using the search and you'll figure it all out!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
