Dreams Cancun Review long w/ pics!

I am going to try to do this in an organized and somewhat concise manner.

 

Dreams Staff A+++

From the quick check in to room service everything was awesome. The staff we had during our reception was amazing. Check in was easy and quick. We were greeted with water and champagne. One of our guests was upgraded because their room wasnt ready even though they arrived before the check in. Top shelf service. The remembered us after the first night.

 

Dreams Spa B

We had the couple sweedish massage outside which looked beautiful until the business next door started up and sounded like construction. The massage was pretty lame. So we tried the deep tissue massage inside, much better!! For my hair and make up it was AWESOME!! I had Mireya (sp?) do mine and one of the flower girls hair. She was aweomse. The other gal was good to but I thought Mireya was much better. In the picture below she is the one with the ponytail. I would highly reccommend double checking any appointments made before you arrived. My hair trial time was wrong, our couples massage was not scheduled and they had problems with our romantic dinner by the lighthouse I had pre-scheduled.

 

 

Dreams Food A

We didnt visit Oceana or Himitsu because we do not eat seafood but everywhere else rocked. We seemed to stick with the buffet at the World Cafe or room service.

 

Private Dinner B

As I mentioned before some of it was screwed up as far as time and all. Also we had thought it was at the lighthouse like underneath it but it was at a hut quite a ways away from it. I mean you can see it and all but just not what we thought. Here is where it was at:

Gaby and wedding staff B

 

As everyone has mentioned Gaby and Claudia are so overworked and I am sure underpaid. But I feel like they didnt care at all about us once our wedding was over. I mean there was no check to see how things were. On our final bill they hadnt taken off our deposit from months ago so if we hadnt looked at it carefully we would've paid thousands over. I understand they are overworked but at least act like you care.

 

Wedding day A+

 

Despite a few minor issues like not enought chairs for my guests to sit during the ceremony and the kids meals being totally wrong everything was awesome. They lost our recessional song so we had some weird song playing as we left but we didnt even hear it. The box to our cake knife has been lost which usually isnt a big deal except that this knife if over 40 years old (as it was my parents). I had given Gaby the decorations for the cocktail hour and labeled everything but they ended up at the reception. She had said it was ok to change the flowers of the centerpieces to match my bouquet but that didnt happen. All little things that I would've stressed about normally but didnt matter when it came down to it. Our beach reception was PERFECT!!! Yes a little windy but who can beat dancing the night away next to the tide coming in?

 

Mannia Audio A+++++++

 

Carlos and his assistant flippin rocked!!!! His light up dance floor was awesome! As soon as I get the pics I will post those too. He played everything we asked him to and nothing we didnt ask him to. When someone asked for Happy Bday to be played he asked us to make sure that was ok. I would highly highly reccommend him!!

Great job!! We already have the DVD and it looks great. Looks like he even tried to minimized when my stuipd shoe got caught, doh! Music was good, we never were able to meet back up with him to give him our own music so bring him an extra copy that day!!

 

Cecilia Dumas A

She did our TTD the next day (see siggy). She was hilarious and fun to work with. We already have the pics and cd back. Here are a few more.

Our Room the Presidential Suite in the Pyramid A++++++

 

Tons of room, very clean, beautiful and a lot of fun. Has a doorbell, who can beat that. Only negative is that its at the end of the hall which we looked at it as a positive more privacy. I think there is another one closer to the elevator too thought. We had a view of the dolphins and the ocean. Was great!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

Overall this was the wedding/honeymoon of our dreams. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask. I have a ton of pics and a ton of info!!!! I cant wait to post some more wedding specific pics but I dont have any yet from Citlalli or from family or friends as we just got home last night!!

i'm disappointed to hear the couples' massage was lame. you're the second bride here who i've heard say that. i was really looking forward to it, but now not so much.
