Hair Up/Down/Half up-Half down?

Recommended Posts

Maybe it's just the background, but I love the Mexico one too...I think the curls look great!

Then again, I also like the one of you in your dress...I know it wasn't put up perfectly, but I like the updo with the dress style...very sophisticated!

Aw thanks ladies! It's nice to get un-biased opinions. :) This is so tough! I love that Mexico pic too even though I was totally not happy with the way she did my hair though, but I guess she must have done ok since you all love it hehe. But then again, I feel the same as Fanny and Rach, there's something about it being all the way up with that dress that makes it seem sophisticated. Ugh, I couldn't make a decision if my life depended on it lol.

Is there a way I can edit this post to make it a poll?

I think you can really do whatever you want. I think you should also just find a few pictures you like of hair up/down and 1/2 and go to a salon and have it styled and decide which you like best. If you have your dress already you could even go home and try it on take pics and then after trying all styles choose which one you like most. I think with your dress you would look GREAT any way you style it.

i like your hair in the rm pic too. really cute.

I just got back from my wedding. Originally when i was planning my wedding, i wanted to wear my hair down (i hate wearing my hair up!) with just a flower pinned on the side by my ear. But then i finally chose a style that's half up and half down, i had a few pieces down by my face. I was married on the beach and thank god i didnt go with the all down style. it was just a little windy and even with just that one piece down it was a PITA. Not too bad but if i had all my hair down it would of been blowing all over the place and taking pics would of been horrible.

So i would go with either half up/half down with most of your hair out of your face or all up. And i do really like the rm hair i think that would look great with your dress.

Having just returned from my wedding...I say all hair up. I had them pull a few strands down around my face and curl them. Those pieces lasted 5 minutes before they lost their curls (and I have curly hair) and the wind blew them all over and they look funny in the pictures when they are blowing around. I really wish I had just left them all up.

Carrie - Yeah, that's why I was thinking of putting mine all the way up...less hassle at the end of the day. :)

I guess I should mention that I am 90% certain that I am not having a beach ceremony as I am sort of in love with the gazebo at the Iberostar hehe, so I thought I'd let you ladies know. wink.gif

And now for your viewing pleasure, some hair inspiration pics...I'm kind of all over the place with ideas/styles...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
