Menu cards/Brochures/Vistaprint???

Recommended Posts

Can someone help me out here with some direction?

I've visited VP's site and can't for the life of me figure out which bloody products to select!

I've seen on several other threads (that I can't locate now) that some folk had their menu cards printed through VP. Was that on postcards?!!

When picking the brochure, do you just forward the information you want, along with your monogram and desired pictures?

Are they worth the money it's going to cost to print them?

I don't know if it's the stress rolling in b/c we're only a month out or what?!! But HELP!!

Have you tried ordering the free samples from Vista Print? It was helpful to me to see all their products and options ... and they got it to me quickly.

I don't see why you couldn't print menu cards on postcards -- the post cards are glossy on one side and matte on the other... I would do your logo/ect on the glossy side and the actual menu on the other. Don't pay for the postcards though... you can almost always find them for free.

If you want long and slender menu cards, look at their RACK CARDS as an option.

If those don't suit your fancy, try making a mock up of what you want, in the size that you want and measure it... chances are you can find a blank product with the cardstock in the size you want.

Hey Caroline,

Here's my thread where I have my menus done using brochures - see later posts in that thread for my detailed instructions. When using brochures, you don't just forward info - you have to design them yourself using the site. It takes a bit to get used to, but start playing around with it - after you've created an account, you can use the "save for later" button to save your work and come back to it later. You can upload photos yourself on the site (for a small one-time fee, no matter how many items you use the same pic on).

I did my programs using the oversized postcards. IMO, the regular postcards would be too small for menus.

Ashrose is right - you shouldn't pay for anything on VP except shipping! Sign up for their emails and you'll be able to get almost all products for free.

Good luck!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
