Beach Bonfire/BBQ

Has Anyone had a bonfire/Barbeque on the beach for the RD?? I think it would be so much fun but havn't heard of anyine doing that.

there are a few restaurants that do this..tabascos and Baja cantina...i dont think it is leagal to have your own event on the public beach, must go through restaurant.

We've planned to set-up a beach bonfire area the evening of our Welcome Dinner at Dreams. I really loved the concept and when I visited in May it got really cool at night. The warmth of the fire will be welcomed.

We're doing a Buffet and Beach Bonfire at Tabascos on Nov 2nd.

I am actually really excited about this event! Everybody thinks the whole beach bonfire thing is really cool.

I am having my welcome dinner @ Baja Cantina beach. It will be on the beach & they have cute little fire pits that will be kind of like a bonfire.

I am also having my RD at Baja Cantina but to warn you I have been quoted $650/ firepit... something to keep in mind if you decide to go with them. I think Christa may have lucked out and got hers before this new policy went into. Another bride had been told this by them directly and when I mentioned the firepits to Maye C. she told me they were $650/each... and she agrees its super expensive.

 

MariaElena did a bonfire on the beach for I think $100 at the Hilton and them $3/each for smores but this was in conjunction with her reception so I'm not sure what the price would be otherwise - might be worthwhile to ask Emeline.

I found these pics of bonfires that were held at dreams Resort...I think it looks really cool and would be such a great idea for a RD but maybe not so much for yir wedding cause you dont want to stink uo ur dress

Sarah, they were on tripadvisor under the reviews for Dreams...I rembered seeing them and thinking that it would be such a cool idea to have one for the welcome dinner
