I love Uva! The place is fantastic! I don't know if you're a wine and cheese person, but I sure am and I think their selections are outstanding!

Even if we do not end up going there for the BDW happy hour - it's definitely a place worth checking out.

Havana Central has great mojitos, and is reasonably priced, but it is a little cramped- not too bad, but I didn't think it was good for bigger groups. Rosa Mexicano is awesome... My favorite by far in Union Sq. area is Irving Mill, awesome food, great drinks, great space. There's also Blue water grill, which has the jazz bar downstairs...

here's the link for irving mill...

Ok as advised I will repost since there are two threads...

Hello Everyone there is a new spanish restaurant called Sazon in Tribeca 105 Reade Street, same owners as the Sofritos Restaurant on 57th Street and 1st Ave, Delicious food trendy restaurant great vibe and a lounge in the lower level, they're used to accommodating large groups and very reasonable prices for the amount of food that they serve and there drinks are amazing, just a thought?

All places sound great. I too love Irving Mills, my good friend is the General Manager there. Was there last night.

I haven't been very active lately, but would love to join the get together.
