Does anyone know when the sun sets in october in riviera maya?

I want to start our ceremony an hour and a half before cocktail hr...
I want daylight for the ceremony and for the pictures of family and friends and our "couple" pics, but want the sun to be setting once we head over to the cocktail hr because the area that we are having our cocktail hour at looks absolutely AMAZING when the sun is setting and the lights are already on.

Thank you ladies for your help!

          Hi!

I had my wedding on 10/27. The original time for the ceremony was 4:30 but the time had changed the day before. I changed the ceremony to 4pm. The sun was shining for the ceremony but went away shortly after. However, it was cloudy that day so maybe it was just the clouds.

I think the sun ended up fading away at around 5:30 or 5:45.

Here are some pictures...if this helps!

            Sunrise and Sunset Calculator

There are several sun calculator threads on the forum. Do a search if this doesn't answer your question :)

Thank you ladies for the feedback! I found one calculator that accounts for end of daylight savings time (oct 25) so it says that sunset on october 10 2009 should be at 7:30!

Carina congrats on your wedding the pics were beautiful, sorry you couldn't have had it at DT, but everything still looked gorgeous! I'm also a DT bride and the place that I was talking about looking amazing when the sun sets is the back of the lobby with the staircase on both sides!
By the way how was the weather when you were there? Lots of rainy days?

The sunset in October is 6.30pm in Cancun and Riviera Maya. The time changes the last weekend in October (at least the past couple of years)! For example now the sunset is around 5.30pm. at this exact moment it is 6.30pm in Cancun and it is totally dark.
I hope this information is useful for you :)

Yes it was rainy the first two days but that was remnants of that hurricane in cuba.

The sun was shining on the day of the ceremony. I think it was about 75 to 80 degrees the whole time. Not too hot not too cold.

If you get chilly easily, might want to bring some light sweaters or light pants/slacks just in case.
