I never thought about writing my own vows before, but when Luis mentioned that he wanted to I agreed to it. At first it seemed so romantic, but now that I have given it further thought I am a bit terrified. I want to write something that truly reflects how I feel, and when I say I want to write I also want to say it is not beneath me to "borrow" from someone else. Any ideas?

I knew there were some old threads around with vow examples. Here ya go:

This thread also has a ton of vow threads in it too:

You should also google "writing wedding vows" or "examples of wedding vows". You'll find lots of info there. Hope that helps!

we are doing a sand ceremony that will be added to the ceremony but still doing the traditional vows. I am suprised he wants to do his own vows. what a guy. mine likes things so simple like most men.

That is so wonderful that he wants to do that! I'm sure that whatever you write will come from the heart and be loved.

I'm just hoping I can speak during the ceremony to say 'I Do'

So worried I will be a blubbering idiot that day!!

Good luck writing them...I'm sure whatever you come up with will be perfect
