Co MOH's?

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to see what you think about having Co-MOH's. My cousin whom I am very close with despite the fact she lives 3 provinces away has already booked for the wedding, but due to the distance I can't expect her to make bachelorettes, showers, at home reception etc. And one of my best friends doesn't think she can make it to the wedding. So I was thinking that if I asked them to be Co-MOH's they can split the responsibilities.

Is this tacky? Are there any pitfalls anyone can think of?

Also, my gf at home in discussion has stated to me that she doesn't want to be in any more weddings (I'm pretty sure she thinks I wouldn't ask her since she isn't coming to mine). What do you guys think about thathuh.gif?

I think it depends on them. Do they know each other and would they be comfortable with it? Maybe you should have a casual conversation with your cousin to see how she feels about it. Has she specifically said she won't be able to make any of the events you listed? Sometimes people surprise us in what they do.

I have Co MOH. My only sister is my MOH, but she's a very disorganized, sloppy person. I didn't really want her helping w/ invites or anything, and she is shy & hates hosting parties. My 1st bridesmaid is my FSIL whom I'm very close w/ and is very creative and loves parties. So I of course asked my sister if she minded if my FSIL handled these things. She immediately agreed it was best, so i have co mohs.

The second part, my best friend was always going to be my MOH and we have talked about all our lives. Once I got engaged and I told her we were doing it in Mexico she said she didn't want to use her vacation to go to mexico for my wedding so she wouldn't be there. All of us have dealt w/ some kind of similar drama. Personally, I don't let it bother me too much. I'm going to enjoy that day NO MATTER WHAT! And if you're not there, then too bad for you. Of course i wish she (or they) could be there, but I'm not going to be thinking about who didn't come on that day, I'm grateful for the 40 who are coming.

I will probably end up with 2 MOH's. My best friend - who I've always wanted as my MOH will be one, and my sister the other. Mainly because I know she's dying to get married, but it doesn't look like it's going to happen any time soon, and this way she can help me organise a few things and feel part of it.

Now I just have to remind her that it is actually my wedding, and I don't care if she looks good in blue, my wedding colours are gold and chocolate!! lalala.gif rofl.gif

I think that you can have as many as you want as long as they are all okay with it.

My sister can't afford to come to the wedding (yes, another family complaining about cost drama) so she will drive down to be my MOH at my legal ceremony ... my best friend is my MOH for the wedding itself. She is helping me with all the planning, etc.. (insert traditional MOH duties here).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
