A reward I set for myself when I started biggest loser was that if I got to my goal weight I would take BD pics. I'm not there yet, but it's good motivation to start planning.

So a few questions to everyone who has taken BD pics:

anything you wish you did differently?

what are you glad you did?

do you wish you went sexier? or more conservative?

who do you think liked the picture the most, you or your man?

do you think it's better to look like yourself or more like a fantasy woman?

Oh Morgan, you must have been reading my mind! I am using the same thing as my motivation. I did not get to my "desired" weight before the wedding, so I was planning on doing BD shots for anniversary present. So far, I suck! I've gained 6 lbs since the wedding and cannot get motivated to do anything. I think it was the job layoff that started this downhill spiral.

anything you wish you did differently? I SO wish I had done the sports jersey. After the bd session, I wore one of his Oiler's hockey shirts to bed a few times and every time he says how hot that is. Pretty common, but I think he would have liked it.

what are you glad you did? I'm glad that I 'allowed' a male photographer. Leigh Miller's assistant photographer was a male (Riccis, and his work is fabulous!) and I think both he and Leigh brought a lot to the table. Trust and comfort is an importnant thing between client and photographer, but I think that's true whether the photog is male or female. I'm so glad Riccis was there, I got two fantastic photographers and a ton of amazing pictures.

do you wish you went sexier? or more conservative? I wish I had gone a little sexier. I've seen a lot of bd pics posted here since I had mine done in August '07, and wished I'd gone just a step further.

Some of my favourite pictures are the ones that are taken outside. There have been a few out on some deserted highway, and to me those just speak of such beautiful confidence. I love them. And then of course there are Amy's (of amy&andy)... she raised the bar all together!!

who do you think liked the picture the most, you or your man? Do I sound vein if I say I LOVED my bd pics? I had mine done nine months before the wedding, so I took my sweet time designing our book and just loved looking at the pics. I think mostly because I never expected myself to do something like this that I was so pleased with how they came out.

Having said that, I think Aaron was, if possible, even more blown away that I had them done. He looked at them quite a bit after the wedding, then the book got hidden away and I don't think I've seen it anywhere since!

do you think it's better to look like yourself or more like a fantasy woman? No matter what, I wanted to look like myself. I guess if anything, I might have glammed-up the make-up a little bit, but nothing too crazy. There is something incredibly sexy about natural beauty, and I didn't want to get too carried away with looking like someone else.

I do wish I had a sexy bride kinda outfit. I remembered to put a garter on towards the end of the shoot and it didnt really match my outfit.

what are you glad you did?

I'm glad I did it all. I was scared to get nuts *holding my boobs* in front of a stranger so to speak but my photog was so nice that I felt like she was one of my girls and I let loose and let her be creative.

do you wish you went sexier? or more conservative?

I'm happy it was sexy & edgy. I've never been the conservative kind.

He hasn't gotten to see the book yet so I'll let you know in a month wink.gif

In my own opinion and for myself, I wanted to be a fantasy woman..step out of the box and really show him a different side that he doesn't normally see everyday.

what are you glad you did? I am just glad I did BD photos! Glad I had my veil, glad I did some fancy shots with my dress on, cuz my AHR photog didn't really get any like that.

do you wish you went sexier? or more conservative? I am pretty happy in general with the way they turned out. One thing I thnk Matt would've liked is if I posed in a football jersey or something, but I didn't even think about it.

who do you think liked the picture the most, you or your man? He loved them, he cried when he opened it cuz it's always hard to get me to pose for a picture. But really, I thnk I like them better. I actually look at them and thnk I look pretty and I NEVER think that. So I look at them often.blush2.gif

do you think it's better to look like yourself or more like a fantasy woman? I think you can do both. In the begining of mine, the makeup/hair artist did real faint makeup and sublt hair, then as we went on she amped everything up more. So you could work your way up to a fantasy woman.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
