Hi everyone

We were married at the Sandos on October 30. It was absolutely beautiful. Everything met or surpassed our expectations but we also had a very low maintenance wedding. It was only ourselves and 4 others and was informal. I am very happy we chose that resort because of the undeveloped beach next door. We were able to get some amazing photos there. Our photographer was Octavio Montes from Cancun. He was awesome. I highly recommend him and he is very affordable. He was so affordable I was worried about the pictures we were going to get but we were extremely pleased. He has a great personality and was very concerned with providing us with all the photos we were wanting.

I know what you mean about the lack of communication. I had the same problem but as all we were looking for was sun, sand and ocean I just crossed my fingers and went for it. I think you will also find the closer it gets to the wedding day, the quicker the WC will respond to you. The WC is very nice and wanted to please us. She has an assistant so I'm not sure if they need more help or they just run on "Mexician time."

My only concern at this point is we still haven't received our wedding certificate. We never thought to get it before we left and my requests to have it sent to us have gone unheeded. I'm going to try to contact management now and hopefully get some results there.

I have my photos on facebook and I'm currently checking out photo sharing web sites so I can upload them there. It was frustrating to me when I was researching this resort as there was very limited info out there and I couldn't find anyone who had been married there so whatever I can do to help, let me know.

Congratulations and good luck to all!!

Wendy

Hi Ladies!!! I'm new to this site, and am so glad I found it!!! My fiance and I are hoping to get married June 2010 at Sandos... however, I've emailed the WC twice and am still waiting for her to get back to me, very frustrating! Maybe some of you can help!

I read that the wedding package covers 30 people... does anyone know how much additional people are? Or what about how much extra it costs to have the reception on the beach??

If anyone has any information that the WC has sent you or besides what is on the website would be greatly appreciated!!!! Thank you!! :)

They WC always took at least a week to reply to any email that I sent.

I'm told that any weddings going on each day are priority, so I guess they have a day or two that they respond to email requests. Also, someone on

one the forum also mentioned that the closer your date, the more of a priority you are, which may be very true. But, I did always get a response -- sooner or later.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
