I was married in Feb.  I was a little nervous but had my hair done at home by my hairdresser and took the photos with me.  They don't speak a lot of English in the salon, but they are fabulous.  They have books you can choose from.  Both my bridesmaids and myself turned out very nice.  I highly recommend putting your hair up, since it can get quite windy.  Good luck!

I was worrying about this as well. I think I am going to get one of my friends to do it, she is really good with hair that way we can practice here and then she will do it down there.

Hey ladies!  Just wanted to let you know I put my review up.  My wedding was amazing and perfect.  I know you've heard this before, but don't stress out, everything will go great.  I wish I wasn't stressed looking back.  If you want to see pics friend request me on FB

Keep you hair back, no bangs or anything, mine was all over the place.  Granted I got married at 5 pm. It was windy!

              Hi Ladies,

Just had to tell someone that I sent out my invites today for my January 19, 2012 wedding.  I have asked for them back by July 15, 2011 and as of August 1, 2011 that will be my cut off.  I am giving Maria my numbers on August 1 and that will also allow me to be able to get all my OOT stuff together and done with plenty of time to spare.  I have made everyone aware that the cut off is July 15 andif they havent committed by then, that they unfortunately will not be able to attend.  I sent out my STD's 16 months in advance of my wedding, so I know that if they havent figured it out 5 months before the wedding, well more then likely they werent planning on coming anyways.

Plus I hear about brides on here all the time stressing out that people still havent book and then they are scrambling at the end to get things done for their wedding.  I dont want it to be like that for me, so that is why I have done it this way.  (Also bc I have been married before and I know what the madness is like....we all think we are going to be fine and have enough time...but unless you really plan like this....well you run out of time bc it creeps up sooo fast).

So its still 8 months away but now I'm starting to get excited and its finally feeling real.  I remember being on here in 2009 and just hating it that my wedding was so far away...but its finally coming...for all of us....and I cant wait!

Hope everyone had a great Easter Weekend and chat soon!

Does anyone know if brides are allowed to do their own flowers at Sandos? My mom is a florist, so it would mean a lot to her if we could find a place to purchase flowers (in town, perhaps) and just make them ourselves.

We didn't have a rehearsal.  I don't think one was needed as our ceremony was pretty simple.  Maria did show us the wording of the ceremony at our meeting.  We also added the sand ceremony which is very nice and our guests like it.  We didn't have a "rehearsal" dinner, but did have 3 different dinners during the week with groups of our guests.  Most of the time we would run into our guests at night at the Meeting Point.
