Hi ladies! I am considering this resort for our wedding April 2014.

- Are external vendor fees charged as a flat rate (like $300?) or a day pass?

- The Sandos website has wedding package information, but no pricing - does anyone have a package with pricing they could forward to me?  [email protected]

Thanks for any info you can provide :)

The Mariachi band was great! It was an expensive option, but really added to the atmosphere. They started playing right before the processional started (played "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" as I walked down the aisle) and stayed through the toasts back at the wedding hut/gazebo. We paid for 45 minutes, but when they got close to the end one of our friends tipped them and requested one more song. We did not use an iPod at all.

My fiancé and I (female same sex wedding) are having a symbolic ceremony May 2014 at Sandos Playacar.  We want to have the dinner and reception on the beach and have a DJ on the beach as well. I hear we can be on the beach until 10:30PM.  Are there any pros and cons to having it on the beach vs. the restaurants other than having A/C and not having A/C?  We are also thinking of using Samuel Luna and Carlos Gallardo for video.  Has anyone used them?  Our budget is tight and their prices are great and their pictures are also very nice!  Is there anyone else that someone recommends?  Just looking for advise and recommendations.  I am thinking about using the parasol's for the bridesmaids and maid of honors instead of flowers.

Thanks in advance!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
