I am looking to get married at Sandos - Riviera Maya in May - June 2012.  I have a few questions, I am sure you all have some answers for me.

What is the different between Playacar and the Beach and Spa?

Did anyone go to a local market to buy extra flowers?

I am having over 100 guest, could any of the restaurants accommodate that size?

Did anyone rent the disco?

How are the rooms?

What were the cost for the photographer and videogragher?

Did you use one travel agent to do everything?

Please let me know if there is anything else I should know.

Hello! I'm getting married May 2011. I'm trying to figure out some sort of event or gathering the night before the wedding, kind of a "welcoming gathering" in lieu of the rehearsal dinner. Any suggestions? We're already renting the beach for cocktails and dancing with a dj the next night for our wedding. We're considering renting a catamaran, but it might be out of our budget with 50 guests. Are there any local, fun restaurants within walking distance? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Thanks!

Hi All!  I'm getting married at Sandos on April 7th!  I'm soooo excited!!  But, I do get a little nervous now and then when I look at trip advisor.  I know I shouldn't always listen to those things, but sometimes it does get to me.  Does anyone know what this Royal Elite Club thing is?  I know there are special areas where only those people can go, but has that been an issue for anyone?  And does anyone know how much that costs?  I saw on trip advisor that someone said that the swim up bar in the Riviera section is only for the Royal Elite members...Is that true???   One more question...has anyone had an issue with the resort being too crowded?  There has been mention of this on trip advisor from time to time.  Thanks ladies!!

OMG I'm getting married there onm April 9th!!!

I wouldn't worry too much about the reviews on T.A,  I think for the most part Sandos has really good reviews.

As for Royal Elite..I have no clue.  BUT I did email Maria about the swim up bar b/c I read the same post, and she said that ALL guests have access to the swim up bar. (most important part ;)

Kray,

So you think it's too much color if the groomsman to be in orange too huh?

What do most brides do?  Off white?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
