Both look great but I think the first one compliments you better. It shows off your waist and makes a nice silhouette. The back is awesome. I think the first one is less complimenting your body shape. But that may come from the pics.

Did you try to clip the dress in the back like they do in the salon, to make it fit better and get a better idea ?

Heather!!! I'm so glad I saw this before going to work!!! I've been dying to see both of them on you. elefant.gif

It's hard to know without them being fitted properly, because the first one is very loose around your hips, so isn't as flattering, but I really like the 2nd one best. I love the lace, the sash, the way it fits you, the fact that it's more streamlined than the big princess cut of the 1st.

Either way, you're probably right to bring both to the seamstress and get her to pin you into both to see what they'd really look like on you when they're fitted. :)

I have to say that I really do like #1. The back is beautiful and feels "beachy" to me. But, that one is more my personal style, so I might be biased.

The second one is also very pretty. Would you keep the white sash or use a colored one?

You could always keep both and use one as a TTD, so you get pictures in both!

Oh Heather...you look beautiful!!

I like the first one...just because it's a booby cut & that is totally my style!!

Why don't you get the first one altered and then decide? You cannot really get a true feel of what you look/feel like until the dress actually fits you!

The first time I tried on my dress it fit me perfectly & I loved it!!! The second time (in a different store) I tried it on & it was too small & I didn't like it so much. But I just remembered how much I liked it the first time & went with it. And my first time trying on my real dress it was too big & it didn't feel right or as nice...I just know that once the alterations are done it will be amazing. The same for you I"m sure!!

So, if it's not too pricey get the first one altered and even bring both like you said...try both on the day of see which one you "feel right" in! Or you could always wear both...one ceremony, one reception...or use one as a TTD. You have so many options & I'm sure whatever you decide will be perfect!!

heather - i also like the both of them - they are great beach choices... light enough but you still look like you are in a wedding gown.

I am putting my vote for the First one - you look like a bride! and with your long hair and the low back it will look stunning because your skin will peel through even if you leave your hair down.... the back definately accentuates your awesome curves too... So I wouldn't stress about loosing all that much weight either! Your curves are rockin' and besides if you can always throw on something like spanx to make you feel more comfortable.

either way you will love your look and everyone else will too!

good luck! you wedding is soooo close = )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
