Obviously I can't vote lol But what I can say is in the UK all the reports mention Obama and all seem to support him, there isn't any back biting or nastiness from him (I may have missed them tho) whereas all I hear is McCain this and that and he's getting slammed.

Ok I didn't know where to put this...I was gonna put it in the halloween costume thread but it wasn't my costume. And I thought it was funny. On Halloween we went out with friends and our friend dresses as McCain. Not only that but this town is very very Obama friendly. So alot of people cussed us out or yelled at us. It was crazy. Anyways I thought I'd share the funny photos. Oh and btw I'm voting for Obama!

PS this is no way suppose to be offensive. He wanted to dress as Obama but they were out of masks. He just thought it was hilarious.

First we went to Mcdonalds...gotta have shades

This was hilarious. We passed the Democratic office and got a sign and when the parade marched through he marched through the streets. We even made it on the news! It was hilarious!

Then we found Sarah Palin with a gun!

Okay, so Im Canadian and I can't even be bothered to vote in my own country (yes I know Im a terrible person - lol) but I'd vote Obama for sure. You guys need someone to take some steps in the right direction for health care - sorry but your system pretty much blows - Canada's is far from perfect, but at least I dont have to re-mortgage my house just to visit my ER. Good luck tonight!

Ok so I'm the outcast on this thread, but I say it proud that I'm voting for McCain! My FI, my dad who is a vet, my fam, & FI's fam all are too. Without getting into details that might start a debate that I don't and wont get into, imo- he's more experienced all a round, his views on abortion, climate policy, immigration, education, veteran, the fact that he fought and was a POW for this Country, etc etc etc. In regards to the Rolling Stone article- its just that - an article. I have read manyy disturbing articles about Obama, but I realize that they are more than likely false. I saw a website that said Obama was the anti christ and all this scary stuff, do I believe it, no of course not! There was a DVD I saw about corrupted muslim's and how Obama is working with them to overpower America and take us down, it's complete BS. People have to look past all the media and articles they read and realize that things are made up. At the end of the day though its "To each his own" ...regardless, whom ever the winner is, I hope they are being honest with us Americans and really help make this Country a better place. K bye bye before I get ambushed hahahaaaaaa
Good for you Jac. I think its great you shared your thoughts in the midst of the oppostion. I don't plan on ambushing you- yet. LOL

I know we all have different views on what we want our country to be but the main thing that we DO share is that we want it to be better. May the best person lead us there. :)

Obama for science, the economy, the environment, healthcare, education...I'm sure there are more. I grew up a republican because I didn't like welfare abuse. Now i don't believe what I thought was the solution was really the solution. I took some health policy classes & feel healthcare reform is VERY important. I feel that the democratic policies will do more to fix the problems that made me think I was a republican growing up.

I also don't believe in voting with my personal interest in mind, but rather to look at things from a societal perspective. I have great healthcare myself. After I finish grad school, we will eventually be in a much higher tax bracket. but, i don't want to be influenced by what benefits me the most. I think it's more important to benefit our country as a whole. Also, i look at things in the long run. sure we could improve the economy if we sacrificed the environment. Or spend less on education and save money now. But, we need to think long-term.

wow im so impressed with how everyone has definite reasons for why they voted how they did :) im a canadian so i cant vote in this but i definately agree with the healthcare issue....i feel so blessed to live in Canada where i can have a surgery that is necessary to guarantee me a long life and wont cost me a cent at all, all i had to pay was $10 for the phone in my room lol. but i know people in the states that have had the identical surgery and just could not afford it for a long time and so they had to wait until they could and so they got very sick! its so scary to think of not being able to just go to a hospital because i am in dire need of help because of the reason of money. I hope they best man wins tonight whoever it ends up being!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
