Which candidate are you voting for?

Everyone is so excited about the election - I am so interested in seeing the BDW majority vote so please take the poll!

As for this thread - the intention is for healthy, friendly discussion ONLY - if you cannot be respectful of other's opinions, even if they are different than yours then please DO NOT post on this thread.

I am voting for Obama, I prefer his policies on the Economy, Taxes, Health Care, the war in Iraq and Education. I also feel that Joe Biden is a more qualified back-up candidate in case anything happened to Obama.

The most important issue to me right now is Health Care - I am hopeful that we will one day have universal health care in the U.S. and better preventative medicine! cheer2.gif

I support Obama, for basically the same reasons as Alyssa.

My personal priorites are the economy and healthcare.

If DH and I had to pay 100% for our policy if it were not offered by his company, it would be $18,000 per year. This is a completely unreasonable figure for us, not to mention most other Americans that I know. I find it sad and frightening that my mother, a successful business owner cannot afford health insurance for herself, much less offer it to her employees.

Can I just say ditto to you Alyssa?

I'm not fond of McCain's healthcare plan nor the "trickle down" economics.

I've been dying to discuss politics with others that are not "like minded" because I like to hear what those that support McCain have to say. Unfortunately, it's such a taboo subject (which I wish it weren't this way) and most of the time people get ugly. I think we can discuss it maturely this time!

I am with you on that Rachel - I do want to hear why people support their candidate. My cousins are hard core for McCain and only for 1 reason -their income - they admit they are completely self-centered and do not want to pay $1 in taxes more than they have too even though they make millions and could spare a bit LOL. I don't agree but at least they have a reason that is valid to them KWIM?

I selected the candidate DH voted for since I couldn't vote this election. I don't agree 100% with my DH's decision but if I could have voted I'm really not sure who I would have chosen. I probably would have looked into the candidates more, KWIM?

To me homeland security is the most important issue and the economy is also a big concern.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
