We leave May 1. The rest of our crew comes back the 8th, but we're staying till May 15. Might as well make the honeymoon last!
That's my wedding day too!! But we will be getting married at Beaches Negril. Everyone thinks having the wedding on a Wednesday is a bit odd, but it has special meaning to me and that's all that matters, right?

I think I drove our TA crazy with all my questions - I have researched what seems like 10 million different resorts, and have looked at Jamaica, the Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, as well as Mexico. I'm still in the beginning stages of planning the actual wedding, but if you have any questions about resorts, I may be able to help.

Also, have lots of experience regarding Jamaica. Many years ago, I had a boyfriend who's grandmother owned a home in Negril, and we traveled down there to visit A LOT!! Probably close to a couple dozen times. Also have a friend who's brother as well as brother in law, both got married in Jamaica as well.

You can email me at hstimetz@swiftprepaid.com with any questions!

Congratulations to all the other Jamaica brides!

Names: Heather & Eric

Place: Beaches Negril Resort & Spa, Negril, Jamaica

Date: May 5th, 2010

In JA: currently booked 5/1/10 thru 5/8/2010 but would like to fly in a couple of days before then if we can swing the budget

It seems like RIU is the most popular resort in this thread. There's just sooo many great choices in Jamaica, it can be hard to choose! We ended up selecting Beaches since it's a family oriented and I have a 12 yr old from a previous relationship, and there will also be other children traveling with our group. But if the kids were not an issue, I think I may have went with Rock House, or Moon Dance Cliffs. Either way, I think everyone is going to have a fabulous time - I know I am!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
