I think you are on the facebook page right KDoyle? I wrote back and forth with you yesterday regarding how useful BDW is! haha.

LOL, yes we did!! :) That's awesome that you did them so early ...I only got engaged late Nov and  once we made the decision on resort we sent the electronic invite and the link to our wedding website out to everyone...so they had the info until I could get the formal invites out. People already started receiving them today and I had people call to say they loved them :) So happy they turned out! Now it's onto Bridesmaid dress shopping -we are late -but the girls and I are going Saturday to get'er done! LOL

Anyone familiar with the Sunset Resorts?

I'm choosing between Sunset Jamaica Grande (Ocho Rios) or Sunset Beach Resorts (Mo' Bay)! They're both cost efficient, still AI, and has a beach which is why i decided against my other options.

I'm just wondering which one has the more "party" atmosphere?

I can go back to school in 2 weeks with at least a venue down and they've already emailed some quotes so I'm excited about that!

Planning is going well -

dress

invitations sent out

bridesmaid dress are found and purchased

Reception back here has a date set and food is picked

Trying to figure out what is next!

I've been looking at OOT bags to start working on and bridesmaid thank you gifts for my shower and bachelorette party.  I also wanted to make them some jewelry for the big day as well!

So, all that to say I really don't know how the planning is going because I don't know what I should be doing :/ lol!

Seems like wonderful progress! I would suggest looking at any critical venders that you may need. Better early then them booked right? And make a vision board if you haven't done one, it gives you an overall image of your dream and your vision it will help you know what to do and prioritize. I have a binder but to me binders and files don't ensure my creative side.

Cherina - would you mind letting me see your vision board?  I'd love to see it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
