I love seeing so many future Jamaican Brides! Since we leave in just 12 days(woohoo) these are the activities we are planning on:

Day trip shopping in Negril

Deep Sea fishing(my fiance not me)

Visit to a local elementary school to give them school supplies

Visit to a mineral hole and mineral pool

Visit to a waterfall and bat caves

Horse back riding

Blue Mountain bike Tour

and...the WEDDING!!! :)

Since it is just the two of us, we don't need to worry about entertaining guests so we will spend our time exploring the country!

Hi fellow Jamaica brides

User Name: Jamaica2012
Name: Jenni and James

Location: Jamaica (unsure of resort yet)

Wedding: April 2012

in JA: ?

My name is Jenni and my fiance's name is James. We officially decided we want a destination wedding within the last couple months and are most interested in Jamaica.  But all the details are still up in the air, so I am on this site to get some insights and help me decide on a resort.

I am very excited about a destination wedding but I was hoping it would be less stressful but I have a feeling that once we find our resort my stress level will decrease significantly!

Thanks for all the tips and advice in advance.

Jenni

I think we are too. Our date as of right now is June 8, but I was overthinking everything and playing all the what if situations in my head, so I was thinking of changing it to June 1 or May 25. Where are you getting married?

Hi,

I have been away from this site trying to stay focused on school work.  We are getting married at Riu Montego Bay.  Congratulations on getting engaged!  Picking a date is hard to do!!!  Good luck!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
