Tying the knot in November 2013 at Hacienda Cocina Y Cantina! We went in May for our menu tastings and it was amazing :) So excited to return...3 month countdown! We did lots of research on vendors, sharing for those brides just starting your planning. We originally planned to get married at a resort but I had issues with responses and customizing our dinner menu...so we decided it was worth every penny to hire a wedding planner and change venues to HCC. Our picks: Hair/make up - Neysa Berman Wedding Planner - Tammy Wolff Photographer - Amy Bennett DJ - Sam Koen Venue - Hacienda Cocina Y Cantina Florist - Cabo Flowers Rental Company - Lazy Gourmet

Hi Everyone,

I just got engaged this month. My fiance and I are trying to secure a date in July at Dreams Los Cabos. We are looking at getting married at the gazebo and having the reception at the Oceana Terrace.

I've received prices to block off rooms for our guests but they seem kind of steep per person. Does anyone have price quotes that they wouldn't mind sharing so I can compare?

Thanks! :)

I did exactly what you are planning to do this past July and it was amazing! You will feel like a princess at Dreams they really take care of their wedding couples. They also have amazing deals if you book a lot of rooms. Contact Teresa at Vacations For Less in Los Angeles. She is a travel agent and she is also FREE :) Good Luck!

First of all, CONGRATULATIONS!!!   I second what the other Melissa said - we got married a week apart from each other and were both THRILLED with our experiences (we were able to connect and compare notes thanks to this site!)  My ceremony was also at the gazebo with the reception at the Oceana Terrace - I would absolutely do it again, given the chance.  There were a few SMALL things I might have done differently, in hindsight, but it truly was the best day of my life thanks to Yesica and the rest of the staff at Dreams.  I also used Teresa at Vacations 4 Less...she was extremely nice, professional, and my guests all made it to the resort without incident.  Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions :)

Hi there,

New to the site but wanted to jump on here and connect with others getting married in Cabo.  We are planning for a Cabo July 5, 2014 wedding.  At this point we have steered away from a resort wedding and gone the route of finding an authentic restaurant that will allow for a reception.  We are also having a smaller wedding.  If anyone would like any info from me about going off the resort path or has any info to share I would be much appreciative!  Please email me at emilyjenochs@gmail.com!

Congrats to everyone!!

I don't know how to use this website very well, but maybe you could PM me your email address and I can send them to you that way?

Hi everyone! My name is Angela and my fiancee is Feodor (or Feo for short). We're getting married in Cabo next year, July 4th! Feo and I have been to Cabo several times and we love it there! We've chosen Cabo Del Sol for our wedding ceremony and reception, and Sheraton Hacienda Del Mar as our hotel base. I've been looking at the forums on this site and it's been very helpful! But I would love to hear from brides who got married in Cabo Del Sol and what their experiences were. Quite curious how you did the decor, the timing, DJ, etc... Thanks everyone!!

Hi everyone, I am getting second thoughts on my wedding location. I am still considering Cabo of course but a different location. I initially had my eyes set (yes I put down a deposit already) for Dreams but looked elsewhere and found Sunset Da Mona Lisa and Hacienda Cocina & Cantina. Both are gorgeous locations however, both are also restaurants. My fiancé is stuck for the all inclusive resort stay and wedding location to keep things simple and at minimal costs.   AGHHHHH!!! Now I am worried because I want to send out my STD in October and need to finalize everything soon. Opinions anyone? Thanks!

  • 2 weeks later...

Hi Everyone! I am getting married 2/27/14 at Casa Dorada Beach Resort on Medano Beach in Cabo San Lucas. My mom and I are going to Cabo in 2 weeks for a site visit and was wondering if anyone could throw out ideas for things we should be checking out while we are there, or any particular vendors to recommend. We are planning to meet with my wedding planner, the hotel's wedding planner and a few DJ's, florists, and do some food tasting at the hotel and also for the rehearsal dinner. Also planning a trip to Sams Club/Costco/Mega to see what we will be able to buy down there before the wedding for decor, OOT bags, etc, etc... Is there anything I am missing? I want to get some of it lined up with my WC so we can be efficient, but we are going to have a little vacation time as well. Thanks!! Tori

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
