Brynn,

My finace and I just got engaged two weeks ago and we have family already vacationing at Pueblo Bonito Sunsets March 10-17th.  We decided to get married the same week in Cabo. How ever Sunsets wants $4k for a ceremony and $260 pp for a reception.  We will have 45-60 people attending the wedding so that will not work for us.  Also I have tried contacting the wedding department by sending 6 emails and calling 20 times and still haven't heard back from them.  Sounds like you have done a lot of research.  I was wondering if you are doing the ceremony and reception through a resort or not.  I am trying to find out how we can have a ceremony on the beach and a reception at a restaurant .  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

ooh Hello!!!  We are in the process of sorting out our Contract for the Sheraton Hacienda!!  I heard amazing things about Cabo Del Sol but I think it was going to be a bit too pricey for us in the end. When are you getting married?  We are getting married on the 3rd of August 2012.  I'm a little worried about that time of year being so hot but at least I hear the humidity isn't that bad and if it is a dry heat, we will definitely cope!

My fiance and I are looking into the Sheraton Hacienda and Cabo Del Sol.  We are undecided on which one to go with. We love the look of the Sheraton but hear that the food at Cabo Del Sol is amazing.  Need your help! Any input is greatly appreciated. Also any suggestions on other places would love to hear. Thanks!!!

Hi! I am getting married April 8, 2012 at Melia Cabo Real. If I had more time and a more extensive budget I definitely would have gone with an external wedding planner! The resort wedding planners are not very timely I have noticed and its tough to do it on your own when you have never been to cabo before like us!

We are just getting married on the beach at Melia, very small wedding (12ppl). Using starfish for decor to save costs and bringing our own ipod/docking station to save even more! Not going with any resort wedding packages, just told them what we need/want and they are charging us indiviual pricing on things we want (ie wedding cake, canopy, chairs, etc).

Photographer we are using EMWeddings (Enrique Morales) He has been very good to work with so far! Melia doesnt charge a external wedding vendor fee so I was free to choose whomever I wanted and not stuck with the inhouse photographer :)

We aren't having a reception after the wedding as we are doing ttd right after the wedding while hair and make up still look great, instead we are having a nice formal dinner the night before followed by a beach bonfire (only 17pp).

Does anyone know of affordable limo transport from airport to hotel?? Thats one thing I havent been able to figure out on my own yet!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
