Worse case scenario... consider it an improvement to the dress. obviously it's not what you had pictured, but everything has it's flaws in life. It's like a marriage, it's a BEAUTIFUL thing, however you'll have ups and downs. The beautiful part is when you can look past the little flaws and see it for the beauty that it is. And if it's only on your train perhaps it's not that noticable? Also, it's now a one-of-a-kind dress that nobody else will ever have. It's your special dress.

However, I would say that $200 off is definitely a good starting point! perhaps even say $250 in hopes that they will try and negotiate and come down to $200.

YIKES! That sucks, but try not to freak...no bridal salon wants an unhappy bride so I'm sure they'll find a way to fix it! chin up!

      Oh no!!
      I agree with everyone else.
You absolutely SHOULD get a disocunt on the dress for the stress of it not being right if anything.

The Qtip with bleach may also work as ppl have suggested.

Either way, try not to worry about it.

I would make the bridal shop or manufacturer figure out a way to fix it in time for your wedding. This is their error and its thier responsibility for you to be happy.

Either way, good luck and hang in there!

oh godness, what a way to ruin your moment! the store should have checked the dress before showing you it!

i'd think $200 is very reasonable - its your wedding dress!

good luck and let us know how you get on

That isn't good! Asking for $200 is totally reasonable! Could you go to a fabric store and explain the situation and see if they have any suggestions, maybe there is a fabric paint or something that could cover up the thread colour?
