That really sucks though, I wish you had questioned it when you were there. Was it a lot though? Everything there seemed so cheap that it was probably not worth disputing anyway.

I can't believe you got charged for your drinks Sara!! I would have never expected that. There's no mention of that in the package that Yaly sent me...just the flat rate per person for the BBQ. Thanks for the heads up...I will be sure to inquire about that when the time comes.

Catherine: Congrats on getting the wedding booked...let the fun begin :)

Honestly, we were in such a hurry to pay and check out as our bus was leaving for the airport and the morning we left, our card keys weren't working for our rooms and we were in a panic to get packed and back to the lobby to check out....the front desk wouldn't translate our bill and so DH had to ask the PR desk to explain the fees...LOL it was crazy. I don't know the exact cost as DH has the bill. At the end of the day, it was a wonderful wedding; I don't want to deter people from this resort or the beach bbq.

Hi girls - I posted this link on the wedding pictures thread, but wanted to include it here as well. My brother's gf took our pictures and provided us with a dvd last night including our legal day, wedding day and a few TTD. We also have 3 other cds of pictures to sort through. Anyhow, we did take some inspiration from Connie (teacherbride)'s pics so I hope you don't mind!

Oh man, I can't watch youtube at school. I can't wait to see your pics!!!

Also, I can't believe you got charged for drinks. We had wine and champagne service all evening at no extra charge. We also requested tequila shots which they set up for us. Not everyone did them but they were sure fun!

Sara: Your pics are great...the video collage is such a good idea!!

Did any of you ladies have your nails done down there? I know I'm going to have a lot of "assembling" to do once I'm down there and I'm not sure if they will look as nice if I have them done before I leave.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
