Yaly has not stopped all week - She had 4 weddings every day this week. Sara, hope your wedding went off without a hitch. I watched from afar and spoke to your new sister in law before the ceremony when they were decorating the tent area.

Yaly mentioned to me yesterday that you didnt pick up your wedding CD of your pictures so she asked if I knew you to take is back for you. Although we havent met personally I took your CD - I hope you dont mind. I would want someone to bring my CD back for me so I figured it would be OK.

YOu can email or call me so we can make arrangements to get it to you.

Hi Ladies - I got an e-mail from Yaly this morning and we are confirmed for Jan 22, 2010 at 4 p.m. followed by the Beach BBQ - so so happy right now!! Yaly didn't confirm the time of the Beach BBQ with us and I don't want to be a pain - what time did everyone have their's at?

I am feeling so sad for everyone that has had to cancel their wedding due to swine flu. I suspose it is for their own safety but it must be very difficult and stressful.

Anyway I must get some zzzzzzzzzz's - till next time.

Our beach BBQ started at 6:30. Our ceremony was at 2 but I have a feeling that doesn't change the reception time at all.

This may be a weird question...but to the girls that had the beach BBQ, how did it work with the drinks for the reception...do they set up something for you on the beach? do you have to walk back to the resort? Plus how far away is the nearest washroom? Just some random thoughts that popped in my head...Thanks.smile43.gif

They set up a table with wine and champagne. Be aware though, that you are charged for the liquor. Maybe that's obvious, but DH and I were not aware of that (we assumed it was included in the price of the beach bbq, and the fact that it is an all-inclusive). When we checked out of the hotel and received our itemized bill, there was a charge for those drinks at the reception.

The seafood restaurant is steps away and they have bathrooms and I would guess that you could order drinks from there (perhaps at no added cost)? I'm not sure though.

good questions k'osh! I would not have thought that you get charged for drinks at the beach BBQ. That is a bit of a bummer - especially with my friends and families thirst levels ha ha. Oh well.

Thanks for providing me with the time of the Beach BBQ - we are sending out information brochures and little cards thanking people for booking etc. (We never did STD's or invites)

Bring on the week - end

I DID NOT get charged for the wine and champagne that was served at my wedding, I think that might have been a mistake.

The sports bar which is 24 hours is really close to the beach, our guests who wanted liquor or beer went there. There is also bathroom's there. The seafood restaurant is close, but at night its set up for dinner, so you can't really go there for drinks.

Ask Yaly about getting charged for the drinks, because we were not charged it was part of the meal.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
