Stay on track.... hmmm .... I think it would be great if I had time to eat a real meal. Work has us so busy lately that I barely get dinner before it's 10pm and time to go to bed. But I am definitely upping the intake of fruits and veggies. I keep looking at our reception menu and thinking, I want to eat everything there, so that's motivation to eat right up until... LOL.

A friend of mine just got married, and she said that she dropped 10 lbs a month before the big day because she was so stressed and busy and would just forget to eat. The same thing happened to my sister. Is this normal or weird? I can't imagine "forgetting" to eat when my stomach is growling so loud! Anyone else know anyone who this has happened to?

I've heard of this before but, like you, I don't think it'll happen to me cause I could never go without eating!! I love it too much. And I'm hoping to not be very stressed as our big day approaches. I've also heard of people actually putting on weight before their wedding because of the stress so hopefully that won't happen either!! I'm just hoping there's no stress and then I won't have to deal with ether situation!

Had my first weigh in at the gym last night, 6lbs in 10 days! I am extremely happy with that but also very worried that it will quickly come back or I am going to stall! I was non stop for those 10 days and on my detox for the most of them. I am off the detox and still trying to stick to the same foods but there are still 10 weeks, I don't know if I can keep this up for that long...

You can do it!! Just keep in mind how hard you worked for those 10 days and how you don't want that effort to go to waste. That feeling you got when you did your weigh in will be that much more special next week when you've lost 1 or 2 lbs more!! Keep it up and you will know on your wedding day that you did everything you could to feel at your best!!

haha, sorry for the coaching but I need to hear that for myself every once in a while...we'll be checking up on you so don't give up now!!

  • 3 weeks later...

How is everyone doing with the weight loss? We're down to the wire now!!

It's still possible to lose more weight though...is the stress gettingg to you or is the idea of our weddings being so close motivating you to eat healthy and exercise?

I'm just about at my goal weight and for some reason have decided that it's ok to stop working at weight loss now. I don't know how to re-motivate myself! Anyone else struggling still?

I'm still pushing myself to workout and eat healthy, but not just for the wedding. I want to be healthy everyday. The stress actually seems to be less the closer our date gets... not that I've got nothing to do... heck, i still don't have a dress. I guess I am just more focused on our marriage than the wedding day.

Now... talk to me when April hits and I might have a completely different story! LOL.

I the beginning I really had to force myself to go to the gym,,but know its like an addiction! If I dont go for one day I feel guity, and I blame myself from not beeing motivated enough, Ã hate it, since Im also on a diet. But it seems that my body got used to the fact of getting less food, en now is keeping up everything, so I wont loose anymore weight... I feel sad and tired, because I dont want to be so busy with my exterior anymore.. Im allready getting married, so that Husband I allready have in my pocket :-) .... The fact that the day is coming closer and closer makes me so exited, but nerveous at the same time, I cant wait, but Im tense the whole time, and I dont sleep much anymore... Is there anybody feeling the same? Any tipshuh.gif

I've definately been having wedding dreams and restless sleeps. I had a dream the other night that I was in Jamaica and it was my wedding day. I was watching other brides from BDW getting married and wondering which ones they were and if I remembered them from some of these threads. Then I realized that it was time for my wedding and I didn't have my makeup (which was a huge deal cause I'm just recovering from 2nd degree burns on my face) and I was panicking and had to send FI to Shoppers Drug Mart to pick up some more makeup...haha, like he'd know what to buy!!

That's one of many dreams!! It hasn't really affected my weight loss though. I'm still on track for reaching my goal so I'm trying to stay on track. It's getting harder to do though with the wedding getting closer!! Weekends away and a stagette coming up are going to be tough to get though on a diet!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
