I agree with Erin, you need some cheat foods once in a while! Just pick yourself back up and stay focussed. If you really want to do something push yourself extra hard at the gym and go for an extra 1/2 hour walk. Don't forget to drink lots of water!

I finally broke my plateau this week and I'm really excited about losing even more now! FI just went and bought a ton of groceries so we don't have to resort to eating out. I'm so excited for next week's weigh in!! Hopefully I can reach my Christmas goal cause I have a feeling it's going to be a rough holiday season with all the yummy food everywhere!

I noticed that after I ate Chinese food on Tuesday for supper that all day Wednesday I was craving junk food. There were cookies in the break room at work and they called out to me every time I walked by!! "EAT ME" But today my cravings are gone so I obviously got passed whatever caused the cravings! Has this happened to anyone else...you cave for one junk food and all the rest keep calling your name??

Casey, we all have moments of weakness! Not worth hating yourself, just drink tons of water today, and try to eat a bit healthier!

Montego, i am the exact same way, you are not alone! if i eat 1 chip, i want a bag, and then i want chocolate & baked goods... mmm... chips! Congrats to both you and Erin for breaking the plateau!!!

I am exactly the same way. If I let myself have one cheat I fight really hard not to let myself go for the whole day! However, it is true (at least for me) if you never allow yourself any treats then when you do have one you tend to go overboard. I am on a diet now that builds a cheat day in. I look forward to it every week! It makes it easier to turn down the pizza and beer if I know I can have it come Saturday! However when Sunday roles around I have serious cravings for anything that is bad for me.

Casey, don't beat yourself up. I know when I fall off the wagon I try and make up for it with some extra time at the gym the next time I go!

How's everyone doing now??

I'm finally fitting into my "old" clothes and thinking about going shopping soon. All the clothes I bought this summer for work are falling off me right now YAY!!

Still trying to reach my goal for Christmas! I broke my plateau but now I'm not budging anymore again. Maybe this week will make a difference. I'm trying out a new class at the gym...

talk soon!!

I worked out yesterday and today... 4.8 miles on the treadmill each day... Woo Hoo... And I've really been watching what I eat. It's hard because it seems like the more I work out, the hungrier in the evenings I am... so I eat more. Is this normal? How do yall handle the situation?

Hey ladies! I am so impressed with all of you. Me and my fiance have recently decided to elope in April so I need to get my butt in gear! And all of you are totally inspiring. To help me stay on track I have decided to sign up for a 5K to be held the second weekend in December. I am not any where near ready yet but I am forcing myself to get serious now. I don't want to be the last to cross the finish line! Over all I am trying to loose 30lbs by April.

I have been absent from this thread for some time but now I must get back to my routine, I have been off my routine as I have not made it the gym in the morning and I struggle to there at night. I am going to get back and start eating good again I swear I had one bad day and now that is all I am doing. So have to get focused and this thread helps!

Yeah, this definately happens to me. Apparently you are supposed to eat a small portion of carbs and protein after working out to help your body repair tissue. I don't stop myself from eating when I'm hungry, I just try to make very healthy choices, especially if it's after 8:00. Something like 1/2 a grapefruit with a sprinkle of sugar, my fav is rasberries with honey. It's really hard sometimes especially when FI is having a big bowl of ice cream! But I just keep picturing what I can look like in all those pictures in Jamaica and of course in "the dress". I don't know if that helps but at least you know someone else is hungrier all the time!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
